Negotiations with HR on salary is not so easy
by Pradeep on Aug 26, 2006 02:48 PM  Permalink

Hi,

Sunder's article is perfectly fine for youngsters who had experience range of 1-2 years.
But when any one disscussion about salaries depends on person to person primarily on candidates confidence, previous work experience, previous company policies etc. It is difficult to demand everything on table unless you are the only one for that post.

Salary very important !
by Sandy on Aug 25, 2006 08:47 AM  Permalink

Its a nice article.
Many youngsters today with 2-3 years of experience fail t negotiate their salaries. They should realise that they are no longer in the school and are into the Business world which is all about money.

Be specific about your salary no matter how lucrative the offer is otherwise. And do not fall prey for some of the funny employers in India who preach "Money is not importat, career is.We will take care of your career etc.".There are many well-reputed companies like this in India who are over-greedy and try to convince the candidate that money will come gradually.Stay miles away from these companies.

Rememeber that money is as important as anything else in your job.
