Since i am useing this system from last one year Qualty of sound is digital but no spiritual channel for north Indians eg. Bhajans in hindi. At times songs are very bouring and also latest songs are missing.
I am one of the oldest users of worldspace. I had Hitachi receiver and used yagi antenna. I had a great time listening to Worldspace without any issues and the clarity was too good. I bought the new BPL (just because it has remote control) and replaced it 3 times because of some problem. The reception is useless the plastic antenna given by BPL broke and it costs 800 Rs. Yagi antenna is not available in the market. I feel it will be good if customers get some good brand receiver and yagi antenna instead of some junk.
I have been listening to Worldspace Radio for a week now. It is superb in terms of quality of sound and reception as long as you know how to set up the antenna correctly. The biggest advantage, I feel, is the lack of incessant RJ chat which is sometimes annoying while listening to Fm channels.
Also, somebody commented about this Radio not working in his car. The instruction manual clearly says that Satellite Radio is not meant for any moving object as the antenna has to establish a consistent 'Line of Sight' with the satellite up above.
Our conventional radios work in moving vehicles because they travel through a thick beam of MW,SW,or FM waves emanating from transponders fitted on 100/120 Ft. high towers.
