Is gelatin mixed in gelato , becuase gelatini is made from beef and other decomposed parts of animals which i belive many hindus will not prefer to eat
I am from New Delhi and live in Viterbo city near Rome, Italy. I have tried gelato in a number of gelateria (gelato shop). It refreshes you with fresh fruits and flavours. Generally, you can get three flavours in a single cup or cone in the same price (euro 2-10, Rs. 120-600). But for India, as my views are concened, not a better option against ice creams beause Indians relies on fruitty truitty and fruit custard, and wish to have absolute ice-creams in the summer of like june and july. However, during semi-hot months its a perfect choice. But remember, ice creams, in italian, are also called gelati. Irfan
the best gelato in mumbai today is at the newly opened "Amici's". It' in Bandra, next to Stomach restaurant, near Moti Mahal. Their Guava flavour is delightful. Yum Yum! They also told me that they are not made from product mixes, but are made fresh, everyday with fresh ingredients.

You will find geletto in this place called 'geletto' in G.K-1 M Block market...its in the lane next to McDonalds.
I was never an icecream fan but after trying the gelato first time, i have hooked to it. Yes , its that good. Worth a try and you will come back for more and more, the taste is really out of this world. The fruit gelato are fresh and exotic. I specially like mango (ever popular) , truffle, kiwi and the belgian dark chocolate. Also the bonus is that they let you taste different flavours before ordering :) In Delhi - i know of three places, 1) at PVR priya complex- they have an outlet in Subway near Nirulas. 2) PVR Anupam and 3) at Shoppers stop complex. Anybody know any other outlet in South Delhi ?
