i tried the gelato at Mama Mia! in CMH Road in Bangalore..and its the best!!! They even make new gelato cakes and gelato cheesecake cups which are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!I've also visited their shop in Calcutta and its the best!!..A very nice place to hang out as well..you have to go check it out!!
You should try the Forest Berry yogurt and Orange Cheesecake at Mama Mia!. They have a better range of gelato than the other brands. I loooooved their black forest gelato sundae....its to die for!!!!
They have outlets in B.R. ambedkar road (pali hill), lokhandwala and ghatkopar. Check out their website at www.mamamiaindia.com- they also claim to be the first brand in India to make gelato since the last one year.......mmmmmmm....you'll really say mama mia!

it contains less fat and is less churned but it can be light or rich . like frozen custured it is often served warmer than ice cream less ceram and more milk more eggs and more sugar
Is it vegetarian?? MAny Flavours imported from foreign countries (may be USED IN ICE CREAM) can often be non-veg. For example beta carotene(orangish red colouring) is sometimes stabilised in fish oil and gelatine (made from cow and cattle bones). This may also apply in India as well. Colourings and flavourings are 2 things which need careful research/ inquiry because many of these things can have non vegetarian ingredients.
VARAKH (silver foil/ silver paper on Indian sweets) used by ALMOST ALL SWEET SHOPS IS A FAMOUS EXAMPLE of NON VEGETARIAN additive. VARAKH is made from the intestines of cows and other cattle. Indian Airlines stopped varakh on its sweets in 1996 because it was non veg. EVEN PAVS AND MANY LOCAL BAKERY BISCUITS/ SNACKS MAY CONTAIN ANIMAL FAT (LARD).

i tried it in inorbit mall-malad...n have made up that wenevr i want to have ice creams it would be gelato..as if i am not much ice cream lover xcept naturals but it has beat naturals too.....
i liked almost every falvour..there is no single that i can say was best..name it dark chocolate,ferro rocher,energy high,tiramisu,blue sky every every thing was xcellent....still the taste of it is not goin out of my mouth.....
would like to tell u sumthing about gelato is that the price u charged but aganist it the quantity was quite less...it was not one scoop full...also i noticed that there gelato boys serving different qty to diff flavours n diff customer...no single customer was havin similar qty in their cups...plz..try to look after this matter....
