You have to finish M.Sc, I assume it is two year course.
Go to www.usnews.com and www.gradschools.com to find out university and then go to the respective university to find the fee structure.
All Ivys are in north region and most of the university in this region are little bit costly as compared to central USA.

Continuing education
by SRINATH on Aug 06, 2006 05:23 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have a bachelors degree in civil engineering from Bangalore, India and have graduated in the year 1985.
I have been in construction business all these years.

Due to family reasons I am now relocated in Houston USA.
I am interested now in continuing my education- either an MCE or an MS in hydrology/Storm water management. How do I go about pursuing this? I do not know if my construction business background will be of any help in showing it as an experience. Can I get a financial aid if I get through the GRE and TOEFL exams? I am not very sure if I can get any recommendation letters from my professors (many might have retired) in Bangalore and due to the fact that I am away from Bangalore.

Thank you

Hi,

You will need letters of recco from B'lore. Try emailing your professors and find out.

Getting aid is all about ure visa status and ure skill sets.

All the best!

Software job and employer in USA.
by Lukose on Aug 06, 2006 02:34 AM  Permalink

Hi,

My daughter is B.Tech (Electrical & Electronics)and PGDIT (Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology) from good government engineering colleges. She has been working as a software professional in one of the top three software MNCs in India for three years; presently she is designated as Program Analyst. As part of her job she was posted in UK for one year and gained considerable experience at the project site there. Would anyone help us in finding a good software job in USA for her or give us some useful information about possible US employers, employment agencies, their contact details etc?

Thanks.

Lukose

MBA without work experience
by RN on Aug 06, 2006 01:07 AM  Permalink

Hai folks, really appreciate this, many of my Qs are solved jus goin thru the pages.
* I am looking forward to doing my MBA in the US/UK, ( prfrbly in advtising/marketing/entreprenuership ). I just passed out of college this year (BSc Hotel Mgmt).
I have been getting in touch with colleges only to be told that the avg age of people is 24-34, Sory, bcs hav no experience..etc... Fine.
* Cud someone guide me? I strongly believe that age has nothing to do with maturity (Im 20).Pls donot sugest wrking for a few yrs. Working just to say I worked would add nothing of value to me as a person.
* Also some univs have invited me to their MSc Management programs(mainly UK)? How are these? Any idea about job prospects after it? How does it compare to an MBA?
Please help.
