My teenage daughter used to hog chocolates. Every night she used to take a pledge that it would be the last bar she is consuming and there would be 'NO CHOCOLATES' from tomorrow. If Guiness Book has a record for the maximum broken pledge , then she would get it. She does not eat a single chocolate now! The change happened last year , when she got her monthly quota of a popular branded chocolate and opened one after her dinner. She found worms wriggling out of the bar which she has bitten already. She spat the same and scrubbed her mouth several times . Beleive me , she did not touch chocolates after that. Sh says that whenever she sees chocolate , she gets reminded of THAT DAY.
So if you need to quit anything , you need to associate a 'VERY UNPLEASANT' emotion to it. It works.

yea it certainly wont work with grown up individuals....so what shoud grown up people craving for chocolate think about? I have been a big fan of chocolates and I am sure it is the reason I have those extra pounds on me. But nothing till now has been able to make me refuse a bar of chocolates and once it gets started I simply cant resist it till all of it is gone! After that starts a very guilty feeling which makes me work out and exercise a bit. But all is lost till I get the next bar. Don't know how I can work it off my system so that I wont be having them at all. Help me someone if you have any ideas or suggestions that might help.

Sir..The scenario u described works only on kids. But educated grownups cant be kept at bay just coz some chocolate had worms.
