This refers to the section titled 'Is the vaccine safe?'. Under it, it is mentioned that the vaccine is extremely safe, so much so that it can also be taken in pregnancy. This is wrong. I verified it with my wife's gynaecologist and found that this vaccine cannot be taken during pregnancy but only after a certain period after delivery. I request all the readers to take such articles with a pinch of salt. Please verify what you read with an authentic source, especially if it is a health-related issue like this one. Your life may depend on it.

Hello
Hepatitis B vaccine is made of only proteins & not the entire virus, so it is safe during preganacy.
You should ask your doctor about it again. Take WHO recommedations with you.
I again state Hep B vaccine ie perfectly safe during pregnancy.

You also have to understand it is ony 90% effective when given before age 40yrs. That means only 90 people out of 100 will develope immunity.

Talk to your doctor in detail about it.
Regards
Rahul

No need to Panic!

Every Viral disease is a matter of concern and one needs to be cautious but that doesn't mean we discourage or disappoint people suffering from any viral disease by saying that its not curable. Science is in a very advanced stage and for that matter Hepatitis B is no exception. It is incumbent upon people talking about hepatitis B to let people know the entire reality and not to conceal things which could encourage people suffering from any viral disease bcoz itz necessary to consider also the people suffering while making people knowledgable about any such disease..We should not forget to tell people that chances of Hepatitis B getting chronic from acute stage is rare if it attacks after the age of 40.Hepatatis B, although turns to be chronic frequently if it affects in very early age,but itz very much curable if turns to symptomic one.Usually, hepatitis B remains asymptomic and leads to sirosis of liver which is dangerous but if it shows early symptoms, one can cure it very well. The only thing needed to be done by such people is to take lot of natural fruit juices which helps them to over power the virus by giving the immune system the required momentum & take less of protein food
