Gratuity is payable only if one has worked with an eligible establishment for minimum 5 years continuously. There is no contribution the employee has to make. There is no transfer if one leaves employment earlier than 5 years.
Is it possible to Transfer both PF accounts to new Account ? Please let me know so that i can insist the Payroll Dept in my new company to take neccessary steps to merge 2 accounts to my new PF account.
I have accumlated 2 PF Accounts where 1 in Karnataka and Other in Andhra pradesh. Intially i have not transfered my Karnataka PF Account to Andhra Account. Meanwhile due to un fortunate circumstances i have joined a new company. My New Employer has taken only latest PF account for transfer and asked me to withdraw the Old one which i have not tranfered in my previous job. I dont like to withdraw any money.
