your advice
by Vijay on Nov 08, 2005 01:27 PM  Permalink

I am , people say , a reasonably good writer . I write on current happenings , economics as well as political comments .

I have not been able to publish my articles in any of the leading dailies / magazines .

What should I do to get my articles published ?

What about an online course?
by Apurba on Nov 08, 2005 01:22 PM  Permalink

Writing as a career!!!. Strikingly good, isn't it? All of us are creative thinkers and writers, and many of us fancy our chances in this big (bad?) world, where making a mark or even getting a book published is quite a big deal.

That's where such courses as is being scheduled, help. To organise that stray thought or that momentary feeling that strikes but doesn't stay. Hats off to something which is making a mark for the first time in India.

How many of us, struggling creative writers all, have not scanned for umpteen hours those rare websites that promise, but don't always deliver. Never mind those exorbitant dollars?

I hope this course would deliver. But as some postings suggest, and this would also be the experience of this writer too, the course being advertised may be out of bounds for many.

An online course on similar lines would definitely help.

I live outside Mumbai. Is there any other way I can avail of this opportunity, eg. Is there a correspondence course I could do in creative writing ?
