I would like to know as to how the interest is calculated in PPF scheme. Say for instance, if I go on investing 2,000 p.m, what will be the interest earned at the end of FY? And if I invest 24,000 in Feb, what will be the interest earned at the end of FY?

if you invest Rs. 70000 per year, you will get Rs. 1900647.00 at the end of 15 years. Interest calculation is done annually end of march on monthly products. ie balance as on 5th of each month is taken as the eligible amount for the month. remittances paid after 5th will not be eligible for interest during the month.
