i want to make an investment in the mutual fund plans.So, the minimum amount to start the investment and minimum period of maturity of plan to get higher return as compare to the fixed deposit in the bank.

Minimum you can start from Rs. 500...

Bank FD can give you only 7-8% in current scenario.But Mutual funds have the power to give excellent returns CAGR of 17% per year if you stay invested for long term.

I am 23 and earn 24000pm.My expenses are 2500pm and i end up saving 21500. I have set a deadline of 4 years to buy a house in mumbai for which i need 2000000. Kindly suggest me what saving methodologies should i use or where should i invest my savings to get the best returns in order to fulfill my dream well in time.
