Worthful Information
by Sunil on Jul 03, 2005 10:15 AM  Permalink

Thanks Rukmini. Article is really interesting. Would request you to share more about this topic. May be we can have Test-Case Scenario based questions also where we can answer and then analyse how deeply we understood it and trying to follow / implement ?

Thanks again,
Sunil

Pretentious stuff
by Raj on Jul 02, 2005 10:50 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ahh, some trainer out with ideas again, on how to be successful. We all wish to be successful and rich and happy and on top of the world. And we spend all our lives trying to be successful and rich and happy and on top of the world. Sadly however, in 20 years time we would reliase that stuff like this is nothing but drivel. Look back at the year 2000; in all probability you were equally miserable then. Has anything made you happy? Six soft steps? Ten soft steps?

To be successful, you just need to be content with yourself. Find your passion and keep it. Your success depends on you, not on six steps or ten steps. Business etiquette and social grace are nothing but sycophancy, perhaps more ornamental in form, but an equal evil. Better disguised, but definitely evil. Trying to be nice to someone you don't like?
Articles such as these are adverts. Don't let stuff like this trick you. You will end up cheating yourself, and perhaps will be worse off than you are now. There is no need to spend your lives pleasing all the people around you. You live for yourself, not for them.

ingredients for success
by JEO on Jul 02, 2005 01:28 PM  Permalink

Nice article. Can you elaborate more on handling feedbacks in the right manner. How do you handle a boss who is more comfortable with an yes man. What if the boss uses your efforts to improve his own image and does not give you due credit for efforts. How to handle such situations. is it possible to get more personalised feedbacks.

Hi Rukmni,

Your column is indeed a great tool for self-development for profession who is lacking in some sort of their self-development.

But feel the personnel development of a person is only possible if a person changes his or her attitude.

Now days we all talk about a person have to have a great attitude, but unfortunately people dont know, what is an attitude?

I personally feel a person has to know more about the attitude that will change his or her personality. This wills inturn help to think about their self-development in this competitive world.

Regards,
Johnson
