1) Yes, you can claim LTA during 2008 and 2009, since these two year comes within the block of 4years starting from 2006 to 2009.

2) You need to travel during 2009 and the exemption will be given during calender year 2009. However, since financial year starts from 1-4-09 to 31-3-2010, the amount of exemption will be reflected in your Form 16 for the Financial Year 2009-2010

Hi, Pls help me.

As per my knowledge we can claim claim for LTA after 1 year in the organization.
But quetion is that: 1 year, days starts from joining date in the company or the confirmation date in the company.

As I had worked for a company for 14 months and cliamed for LTA with document proof. 3 months was the probation periods in than company. Now they are saying You haven't completed 1 years after your confirmation date. So if I reduce my three months probation periods then my total working months are 11 months.

So it true as per the LTA rules.

Thanks in advance

I didn't claim any LTA in the block of 2002-2005. I claimed my LTA first time in 2007. After that I've changed my company. Can I now claim LTA twice in the block of 2006-07 in the new company?
