Comming year from jan 2010 onwards the block is 2010-2013. Since it is the calendar year and not the financial year, it will be from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2013.

LTA is Compulsary deductable or any slab Like (salary or cadre) is there.

Unclaimed LTA

Can you clear whether, in case of unclaimed LTA in a block of 4 years, both the exemptions can be claimed in the 1st year of the next block.

Recent info on LTA pertaining to a case between vrevenue dept. of India and an individual, supreme court gave ruling that it is no more required to submit proof of travel to claime your yealy LTA.Request more details on the same

I have withdrawn Advance Against LTA during the year 2007-08 and again I am withdrawing LTA during the year. Is it Taxable in my total Income

URGENT LTA

Please let me know if package tours ( Like Delhi - Manali - Delhi ) for 7 days * 250km per day @ 12 km per day type of a bill is acceptable for LTA from employees.

This is basically covers all local sight seeing at the destination too.

As per income tax rule only travel fare are covered. Packages tours are not allowed.

I AM WORKING IN A LIMITED COMPANY.I HAVE JOINED COMPANY AS A TRAINEE IN JULY 2007.BUT NOW I AM A PERMANENT EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPANY SINCE JULY 2008.IN TRAINEE PERIOD L.T.A WAS NOT A PART OF MY SALARY STRUCTURE.
