Crisis !
by JV Singh on Oct 20, 2004 02:22 PM  Permalink

Hi,
I liked your article a lot. But I have a major problem at hand. I have been preparing for the past 1 month and my scores in the mock CATs (atleast 15 tests) are just not crossing 40 !. I really don't know what strategy to adopt now that only 30 days are left. Also, what do you think can one improve within this time.
I am really worried as I don't want to join any other institute other than the IIMs.

Very true - Techies can crack CAT
by Kamalakar V Arcot on Oct 19, 2004 11:33 PM  Permalink

I believe CAT is not a very tough exam like IIT-JEE which requires in-depth knowledge of core subjects. The standard of syllabus is simple school level Maths and English. Since most of the techies are people who have done well in school, I do not see a reason why they should think it is tough. I think it is more of the perception about CAT which is a problem. Enjoy your preparation and attempt the exam with an open mind. It is just another exam you are writing and not Zaphoid Beeblerox's biography. So, just keep cool.

The Uncertainties of CAT
by vijay sarathi on Oct 11, 2004 02:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This Article about Preparation of CAT is very Exciting. I believe that each and every sentence mentioned in this article is true. And being a software engineer myself feel that if one follows the things mentioned in this article anyone and everyone whose has the capability and implements these steps will Crack the CAT and for that matter whatever they want to in life.
