first my daughter-in-law started dieting . she inspired us and we follow her to dieting . now we look young and feel young . we always eat healthy food and happy about it . all of us have become vegetarian and feel good .. thanks to my daughter-in-law.
well, I am trying hard to diet..But feel very tempted when my Husband has lovely food sitting in front of me. So i try to have a spoon. But he is very supportive. He tries to see to it that i stick to my diet program and boosts my moral to continue my diet. I sometimes find it hard, but continue because it worth all the effort that we put.
I do like dieting but my mom keep on insisting me that i should not go on diet. As i m very much conscious about being shapeless i diet by reducing the consumption of rice intake. But then mom keep on haunting me to eat more and more. My best friend they want me to lose weight as they say I will be soon forward myself to obesity if i don't control now. At home everybody eat healthy in more quantity and they want me to eat more. Sometimes myself get fade up dieting and eat chocolates, sweets etc.
If one is on diet, not necessarily the other one has to be on diet.We can adjust the dishes we make avoiding excess quantity of oil.Besides, one can have butter though other can have a pc.of bread without it. Milk & curds without fat can be made use of leaving fat aside for ghee.Even the person on diet can simplify the process.Instead of boaring everyone with plain salad one can make Raita with same stuff using fatless curd.If one has a Micro, one can enovate his or her own style such as adding little oil in the stuff for cutlet and baking them in Micro instead of deep frying. You get readymade Patra or make kothmir wadi simply by steaming and then with greecing the plate same can be baked.Very Simple to adjust!!!!

Harshada, I can understand your situation, coz I already faced similar conditions in my home too. It is not easy to convince your caring parents about dieting, but dieting does not mean that you have to cut the quantity of intake. Rather what I would advice is to replace the food with less fattier one. For example, you may ask your mum to cook brown rice for you as it is helpful in reducing weight. Also, you may take more of liquids along with your food, so that the overall quantity of intake would be the same as your parents may tell you, but the calorie intake would be lesser. I did the same thing by incorporating very diluted curd (Chaach) in my daily diet. You may also try sour Mango-water (Aam-Pana/Kerry-ka-paani). Also, you may eat fruits whenever you feel a craving for sweets or chocolates. Do not quit taking milk/milk products as they are a great source of nourishment. But try to cut on ghee and butter. Cheese is not that bad, u may take small amount of cheese. So friend, I think this may help you, for more queries, u may mail me at: lohiyagaurav@rediffmail.com
