by raj raj raj on Mar 26, 2007 07:50 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

My Name is Rajesh, I live in USA. 2 months back. I have booked tickets for 2 matches,
arranged Visa and air ticket to Fly to Caribbean hoping to see 2 matches...
I assumed that I will see atleast one India match hoping that it will be (B1 or B2)

Sat, Mar 31 Australia (A1) vs Bangladesh (B2)
Sun, Apr 01 West Indies (D2) vs Sri Lanka (B1)

now its a Shame that I am going to watch Bangladesh and Srilanka match.

Its all our fate...to have billons of die heart of and still we were able to find only 11 cowards for this combat.

Anyways I will go and come back and let you how Bangladesh played in our place...:(

God Save my India & Indian sports.
Rajesh

Player attitude
by nishith patel on Mar 26, 2007 07:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ganguly as captain had criticised commentators for their views of team and player performance (during SA tour). Sachin also had criticised Manjrekar for his views expressed in a newspaper article some two-three months ago.Wonder what they have to say now after the 'excellent' showing of the team in the World Cup?

My dear administrator,

you have to check your site before you publish it. D1 team is not Ireland, it is Westindies. D2 is Ireland.

Such a silly mistakes dequalify your site dignity.

Take care of that.

Indian Selection Should be very simple.
Players should be taken who performs well in ranji games..etc..... not be select by records.. and big names. If they performs they should try to retain place.

Performance should be main Crieteria

To (My dear Indian cricket lovers)
by Ranjith on Mar 26, 2007 06:59 PM  Permalink

I agree cricket is very papular game in India, but it is not the only one game in India. There are other very good game, why we not support & encourage them? Avoid the cricket players advertisement product. This will reduct the image of cricket players. Actually they are not hero? they are not playing for a nation. They are playing for their own wealth. It is their duty to earn money like others who working in the bank, govt, etc..
Afterall it is a game, anything can happen. So we should take this game as a game spirit, and should not take the game as a war spirit.

Therefore, we(i suppose to say media) made our cricket player as a HERO, but really they are not HERO and there are originally a zero. It is proved in the recent worldcup.

If public did not change their attitude in this regards, no one can change the wealth of cricket players & their performance in this match.

my dear friend,if u will drop all stars then who will play for India.do u think that BCCI should nurture a team n then drop them when they are supposed to perform. If this is the attitude then u can expect the same results in cricket which are already there in other sports like hockey

Our response!
by Piyush Dua on Mar 26, 2007 06:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Friends,

In my opinion, we should respond in a very gentle way to express ourselves. The best way out is to STOP BUYING PRODUCTS ADVERTISED BY CRICKET PLAYERS.
This will give a message to both cricketers and their sponsors.
Dua, A cricket fan

You are right Piyush,
But for a consumers it would be difficult because every 2nd product that we buy has a cricketer associated with it. It is disappointing but, droping them could be a better solution.

Yes thats a good idea. In addition we should also not watch the matches live. that will drop the ratings of the matches and subsiquently the popularity of Players.

But do educated people buy the product just because of sachin or dhoni has done the advertisement. I think, this is wrong notion. Informed buyer do buy because of the quality and the feature of the product not which tom dick and harry is selling the product.

Yes Murthy,

But at least we will get an inner satisfaction.

I have already started. I used to drink PEPSI but today I opted for Mountain dew. Just for my satisfaction.
