The contribution ofDravid to the game of cricket and sportsmanship is unparallell in the history of the recent past.To take one example, the return catch taken by Bhajji against Mumbai XI had Dravid hesitating ( Doubtful catch)only for a second but never questioned. The run which could have been taken against Deccan was not taken because Dravid found his partner comming in the way of the bowler who could have fielded in his own bowling. There are many instances. He could have carried on as cpatain but the generousity shown is unthinkable which had Dhoni , the then VC leadindg India . The prediction of Chappel is now proving correct. With a young team under Dravid India would have faired better in the WC 2007 as Rajasthan with Chappel as Academy coach and Warne as Captain cum Coach had proved.
if mumbai misses semifinal birth (which is most likely) it further exposes the ignorance of BCCI administrators on cricket itself.BCCI declared rahul, sachin, ganguly, yuvi and laxman as the icon players and sides of 4 of the 5 players whom they made captain r out.big surprise dhoni was not named icon player.BCCI should understand for T20 format rahul, sachin, dada and laxman r not icon players.they r not even fit to carry drinks

thats not true every senior player has done better than dhoni, its there team which let them down, saurav has played 2 match winning innings, dravid and sachin has performed in most matches. sachin is not in semies only because of his bad luck, out of last 3 matches mumbai has lost 2 matches in last ball.

Ohh really? then who should have been the captain of these teams. Just see Hyderabad.. If captain is responsible for his team mate's performance then how brilliantly Adam gilchrist is leading the team in the absence of Laxman

Friend.. they were declared icon players so that someone will be ready to take them in their team. Without the status of icon player nobody would have taken them in IPL. Will you take Laxman, Dravid in your own T20 team???

See the stats man! Dravid has scored better than Ganguly, Sachin and even your "T20 specialist" Dhoni. In fact, Rahul is in top10 IPL scorers so far!

if CSK wins today they will have 16 points and if MI wins against RC they will have 14 points, then ultimately CSK will enter Semis.

If Chennai wins today, irrespective of MI's result they cannot make it to last four. If Chennai loses and MI wins, then MI will make it to Semis coz of runrate. If both chennai and mumbai loses, then still Mumbai might go coz of net runrate. I hope this calculation is right. However it looks like Delhi has sealed their semis spot which is indeed good for the competition as they can offer real competition.

Warny has been a great leader!! He has led his team from front! Perfectly planned, well executed game plan!! Consistent with their performances and well deserved wins!!
India can look forward to Warne as next coach and team advisor!!

pl correct yr view my friends,if warne as coach for india. he will run away for any chilly thing happen in some place some were in the world. And he is playinf for money and money only
I guess all the matches seems to be fixed.CSK will loose for sure today and MI will win against RC and go to semis.I would also say they will semis too..but not sure about finals..coz..the task of the management is finished getting housefull crowds to finals...in Mumbai..
currently MI is not fav for bookies..which means the odds of it loosing are high..so if the matches are fixed..fixers will get huge profits..and BCCI will get huge profits...Its all in the money...not for cricket..nothing..Mark my words

IF MUMBAI COMES TO SEMIFINAL I CAN ONLY SAY THAT ALL YOU SAID IS CRAP., PLEASE TAKE A DAY OFF
1) If CSK looses against DC, MI & DD qualify 2) MI are playing RC last and its easy to get the reqd run rate higher than CSK esp if they bat last. 3) If CSK beats DC, then DD & CSK qualify. However CSK are under immense pressure, it can be very difficult

1. If Mumbai and Chennai both win their matches, Chennai is through. 2. If Mumbai and Chennai both loose, Chennai is through. 3. If Chennai wins and Mumbai loses, Chennai is through. 4. If Mumbai wins and Chennai loses, then the team with Better run-rate will be through...Simple! :D
