HYDERABAD CHOKERS NOT CHARGERS !!!
by Bhanu Murthy on May 11, 2008 10:30 PM  Permalink

It is better the IPL Committee change the name of Hyderabad Chargers to Hyderabad Chokers. They are good at just one thing. Losing games. Who are the guys who made the composition of the team ? If at all there is a lousy team, Deccan "Chokers" is the one and the only one. With the kind of bowling attach the team has, one can never expect to win the matches.

they played alone, not with anybody, and ICC declared them as winners in all of the matches.

Finalists and Semi-Finalists
by Ranganathan Krishnaswami on May 11, 2008 10:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I agree with Natesh in his prediction / analysis. But I wish DD wins the finals because Shewag has shown extra-ordinary maturity, brilliance and finesse in handling a slightly fragile team. If he shows his class in batting also, he will be a threat for Dhoni in captaincly, who mostly dwells on luck and shrewdness in winning games rather than individual brilliance, which Shewag has in abundance. Great job bu BCCI!!

your lines "he will be a threat for Dhoni in captaincly, who mostly dwells on luck and shrewdness in winning games rather than individual brilliance" So you think a captain who relies on individual brilliance is better than a shrewd and lucky one ????

Shouldn't a captain be shrewd ? Dhoni has also kept his "high-spirits" under control when the situation demands it. We cannot say "threat" from Sehwag -- Dhoni is cool always whereas Sehwag is not. Sehwag does have some brilliance but his 'devil-may-care' attitude while batting is not really the thing we need.

Semi Finalists, Finalists
by Natesh on May 11, 2008 06:32 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am writing a unbiased summary. I dont support any team, i enjoy good cricket and i am a true indian :-)

Semi Finalists:

RR vs CSK
DD Vs Kings XI

(Reason Royals & super kings have already won 6 matches. Punjab 5 & Delhi 4 from 7. Whovewer wins 8 matches will easily qualify for the semis. MI, KKR, DC & RC cannot make it or they have to win the remaining 6 matches continuosly which is difficult.

Finals:

RR Vs DD

RR & DD have depth in their bowling and batting. Shane Warne and Sehwag can handle pressure so can Dhoni but RR will have an edge. Punjab is more talented but Delhi will have an edge coz of Sehwag.

Winner:

RR

purely bcoz of their consistency throughout the tournament. IF sehwag fires then DD has a chance but i would give it to Royals. Hope no one will abuse my message.

Disclaimer: I love all Indians. Every team has got talent and capability. I wil support every team that plays good cricket. May the best team win. We are all human beings living in a globalized world. Our other identity should be INDIAN. Vande maadharam

Quite a good analysis.... but its difficult to predict in T20. One player and 3-4 over can change the course of the game. Anyways Keep it up and enjoy the cricket.

Yeah, true. Sachin is an outstanding batsman in IPL so far standing always outside and cheering up his players. The guys who are standing batsman are Sehwag, Gambir, Dhoni, Hussey, Shaun and few more Aussies. The guys who win the matches are standing batsman, not outstanding batstman.

Hey Natesh gud analysis but u forget that CSK lost their three games in a row as well KKR win their first two very impressively but lost 3 in a row thats a magic of T-20. every team has 6 or 7 matches left, so ur analysis may be wrong in connection of winner. Sooo perdict the winner would be a hurry. Picture is still uncleared and it wll be cleared after atleast 10 matches. but i do agree with ur statement that DD will be the one finalists. kep it up dude
