Well from now on i.e. May 12th 2008 its pretty much Even Stevens for everybody.... A lot of people had a lot of flak for Ganguly .... Yet he led his team to good win.. Now the spirit of KKR and Ganguly will be really tested in the form of the remaining matches where they play more formidable opponents... Only one team had its bearings right in the form of RR where they are pretty much performing as an unit... They are more or less assured of a berth in semi-finals ... the probability being more... What they have to guard against is complacency and over-rawness.... Punjab XI looks to have got into groove after early blues and they look as a very strong unit .... At any day they remain a big threat to dislodge any team.... Delhi Daredevils are true to their name and have strong batting and bowling in the likes of Gambhir and Sehwag and McGrath..... MI are making a good comeback ... Lets see how they fare when Sachin comes back...... DC and RRC... What can I say about them?? I didnt have much hope from RRC which looked like playing a test series... What surprised me that they have even managed out 2 wins out of 8.... And Deccan Chargers ... I m sure most of the people who were now trashing DC must not have even dreamt of doing so at the start of the tournament.....True is the fact that they didnt have good bowling attack .... But they must have atleast muscled their way into semis through their awesome lineup....Even Gilchrist has acceded defeat.....

dikh raha.... thats why you have taken up such a tacky name for yourself!!! Afraid to take your name.... punk??
Kolkata gethered all 8 points from defeating Bangalore and Hyderabad twice. Kolkata not yet registered win against good teams. Again they will have to face Delhi Daredevils twice. Hence, chance of semifinal for Kolkata is less.

- Today's match is avital one. Whoever wins today will be in Semi-final.
Ego in Sanskrit is Aham and one who is full of it is an ahamkari. Who else will best sit for an example of Ahankari than SRK and Ganguly. Do you need any further reason why KKR is the most hated team outside Bengal ? Bongs, please think straight about Dadagiri. Isnt it for the same reason once the entire nation hated Ponting and company ?

You must realise that this so called "Ahamkari" Ganguly displays is pretty much the reason why he suceeds... Maybe Steve Waugh must have called him a school boy.... but with no offence meant to Steve ... thats what you call mind-games... He is not a follower but a leader who commands respect... Rather than standing in the crowd ... he prefered to stand out .... Rather than being cowed by opponents he strike back...Mind you this aggressiveness has changed the face of the Indian Cricket.... If you find young talents it was Sourav who put his foot down and brought in youngster.... provided with a lesser team than Dravid's in the 2003 world cup he succeeded more than Dravid did..... This shows what is aggressiveness means to the game...He didnt want to submit to the likes of More and Chappel .... Dravid did ... so he perished alongwith More and Chappel ..... Whereas Ganguly still there.... Whatever achievements Dravid had was because Sourav has laid the foundation for it... whereas Sourav has to work from scratch and developed a world class team.... And talking of sportmanship ... why should anybody would dare to respect umpire's decisions when you have the likes of Bucknors out there?? It takes 100 balls to build an innings but a single ball to destroy it.....

yes u r true, the way Ganguly turns out for Toss .. and delaying the game.. shows his arrogance... most appropriate term is immature guy... in steve waugh words a school boy..
Recent example of Gangulys arrogance is the way he made warne to wait in the feild for making the toss... also not respecting the umpires decision...
sports is for building sportsmanship but this guy kills the basic essence
SRK am totaly unaware of this guy so no comments...

Do you know the very next game Shane warne came late? You are the first person to say Ganguly lacks sportsmanspirit. You wanted KKR to lose in the last game. It didnt happen. Frustrated minds come up with immature comments.

Ganguly lost his captiancy of Indian team and also sat outside for the very same reason. He thinks he controls the game. It is this ego that brought his downfall. He has made his comeback on his own, thats great. But looks like he has not learnt from his mistakes of the past. He is repeating the same mistake and so people's judgment should be the same too.

ppl balme west wen we hav a man who is much worser than west
I was going through a few msgs, and people have been commenting on Kolkata being the last team on the fairplay list. Why is such a fuss being made on that. I understand you can never associate Ganguly for fair play. He is known to be penalized for slow over rates etc. But at the end of the day who cares. What matters is whether a team is winning. Besides I really dont understand how these points are being awarded. If you take a closer look at the points for each match, whenever a team wins they seem to get more points than the other. The only exception is for Bangalore. Probably they are a team bought by Malaya and he is the one sponsoring the same. I dont say Kolkata has been winning, but if a fairplay award was given in international cricket I am sure Aussies would be at last, but see they r the best team in the world. So at the end of the day what matters is winning. One thing which should be avoided is harrasing a batsman on the field by speaking nonsense. And other than Mr Sreeshanth noone has ever done that. Still you see Kings X1 on the top for fair play. It really puzzles me.
when the chances are high of teams finishing on the same points after the league phase and the semi finalists being decided thru net run rate...how can the IPL committee schedule the matches in such a terrible manner...where for example, after the KKR's last match is over Mumbai indians will still have 2 more games to play for... its a league format and as we have seen last sunday in EPL...all 20 teams played together at the same time, as it was the final match of the season. I understand that there are television coverage issues related to it...but if all other leagues in the world can manage it...y cant bcci?

Kya Sayandeep Baba ... Kuch kaam nahi hai kya?? Any team ...not only KKR have to play out of their skin to prove their mettle... all team have to still play a total 14 matches... and still if they won identical points.... Run rate have to come in play .....
