Read the Points table Upside down please... it looks more realistic that way.... Bangalore and Deccan should have been on top...it is actually more believable

If KKR wins the last 2 games, then they might regret for the match against MI (most comic one)

Well said. The truth is Marathis are unable to compete fairly with outsiders and hence their ire. The reason Shiv Sena targetted Paki Players was their fear that Shoaib could upset their calculations in the T-20 Tournament. As it happened Sachin got out to Shoiab!! The Marathis are furious that they were once dominating cricket ( there were 6 to 7 players in the national team once during 1970s and 80s) but now North Indians are dominating!! That is one reason these third-Grades are whinning all over.

yeah there are very strong chances of MI reaching semis... if they win all their remaining matches they make it.. if kolkata defeat delhi then MI can afford to loose one more match.. MI have 3 matches remaning.. vs Rajasthan, vs Bangalore and vs Hyderabad...
If they win any two of these they have great chances of being in semis at 3rd or 4th place..

Delhi has to play against Mumbai and Kolkatta. If delhi wins both, then Mumbai has to win against rajasthan and Bangalore and also needs to have a good run rate. In that case, Mumbai has a better hand as their last match is against bangalore and they will also know what run rate they require to qualify.

Bangalore Royal Challengers
by SHREESHA RANGANATH on May 21, 2008 08:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Only Bangalore Royal Challengers have stuck consistency. No matter against whom they play, they remain at the bottom (pits). Only if you read the points table upside down, you will appreciate Dravid, the wall of Karnataka - or rather WAIL of Karnataka.

schin
by om prakash on May 21, 2008 06:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

am not a fan of ganguly. But I think among all indian captains he is the best as captain and as performer also. He got 2 MOM awards no other captain has got that (may be shewag). ven Sachin, Dravid, Yuvraj all are flop till now.The thing KKR lacked is quality players. No captain can win a match with the current KKR team. They have no gayle no mccullam half shoiab and alone david hussey. I feel on local players saha, shukla and dinda done good job.. but now a days pakistani batsmen are useless. I hv my respect for dhoni too .. he is also in trouble after loosing quality players. Except Dhoni and ganguly no indian captains are good. They are winning because of a strong team. and Warne has his full team almost to choose from.

it was only the individual brilliance of shewag, dravid, yuvraj and sachin that won matches for india under ganguly's captaincy and cant remember any match won by india by his sheer captaincy interms of field placements or bowling changes... a captain is as good as his team....no special praise reqd for ganguly...

well said om prakash...with mediocre players in the team, ganguly has done wonders. Congrats Shahruk for 500% RoI.

sorry, ganguly was out of his wits as far as this tourney goes. yuvraj, warne, dhoni, tendulkar, sehwag take the cake. the rest have have limited success
