unnecessary
by sriram ambalavanan on Mar 10, 2009 01:08 PM  Permalink

when someone says something out of excitement either take it or leave it.... dont take the statement to another person and ask his opinion, and create a hype.... if you have read the hindu paper today, which has understood the same statement in a different concept, explains like this....

sachin might have referred not just his team members, but the batters from various international teams from the current scenario, which includes jesse ryder, duminy, hughes, etc.. as the best era, he had been looking at....

so do not make unnecessary arguments and create a hype for normal statements....

afterall even in the same family, not every one votes for the same party, same cinema or same food.....

Best ever?
by Venkatesh V on Mar 10, 2009 12:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Cmon guys, just because the team is winning a bit more regularly than before we cant come to a conclusion that this team is the best ever. The team was not bad under Dravid either except for the WC. It was just one bad day (against Bangladesh) that ruined their chances. At this point I would like to make it clear that though I am from South I am no Dravid fan. May be this is the first time most players look in good touch(especially Zaheer and Ishanth who have made a big difference) and hence the results.
The most important thing is that the other teams around have declined drastically because of the retirement of some quality players and they are struggling in finding replacements. This is also a significant factor which makes Indian team look strong. I am not taking credit away from Indians because the youngsters have really blosommed well unlike those for other teams.
Once again.....Best ever ? Too soon to conclude.

Mr Gangully shows his jealosy by his statements. It seems that he still do not want any body to praise more than hi. He is prince of Kolkotta and NOT India that every body should be his chamcha

Everybody has the right to speak. As u did. What is there to jealous of??
This will be proved with time bro.....
You are getting anti as you are a marathi and somebody is not agreeing with Sachin!
Give some time, let the world say that this team is teh best and not just Sachin!
Then we will conclude that this is the best team

Ganguly.....
by Anurag Rathore on Mar 10, 2009 11:46 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Bad moves:
1.Taking P.Patel rather than Dhoni(wasting 2 years of Dhoni)
2.Keeping Zaheer when he came back after injury despite of his bad performance
3.Playing with Bhajji despite of his bad performance

Good moves:
1.Opening with Sehwag in test
2.Taking 3-1 combination in abroad(3 seamers and 1 spinner)
3.Keeping with Dravid and 7-4 combination in ODI

Had Dravid not been given the role of a wicketkeeper, he would have been out of the Indian team 7 years back!

Who knew Dhoni will play like this today?? Patel was good enough a batsman! you have to mind that!
Did anybody know before Sachin came to Indian team that eh will play for 20 years?? Then you have to be a astrologer and not a captain!

It's not about batting. It's about keeping. Patel dropped so many crucial catches on Aus and Eng tour.

i think Zaheer made a come back after being dropped for an year in the captaincy of Dravid not Ganguly !!!!!!!!!!! Ganguly & Zaheer both were dropped simultaneously after Zimbabwe series in 2005 !!!!!!!!!! lol

Zaheer got injured in Aus tour 2003. But he came back in Pak tour 2004 and was in the the team for more than 1 year(without performing) under Ganguly's captaincy.

1 Test victory in SA. Bowl was seaming, but Sreesanth bowled very well than SA bowlers.

Famous Nagpur test.....
by Anurag Rathore on Mar 10, 2009 11:26 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Which was green top wicket, but on the same wicket Aus scored 400.
But when India scored good runs on green top wickets, experts called pitch is flat. Why?
We won Perth test, 1 test in SA.
Bowl is still swinging in NZ, but India is playing fantastic cricket so pitch is looking flat.
Don't think in whole CB series, in whole T-20 WC, in whole Eng tour India didn't get any green top.

Bowl is moving after pitching. You should see how many players bowled out in this current tour.
If India doesn't drop 3 easy catch in last match then on the same pitch NZ get bowled out under 250.
