Leadership aspect has ben a big factor in Teams performance.
Hyderabad was touted as best team before commencement and they have ended at bottom. Whereas , RR was suppposed to be weakest , but ended on top.
This enforces the theory that leadership and man-management skills do play significant role , as enumerated by Stephen Covey in -Seven Habbits of Highly Effective People

Dhoni's captaincy did not do much yesterday- rather suresh raina's fiery innings and gony and ntini's bowling helped set the scene for chennai.....

You were replying on a post which says "Dhoni is destined to win"... . you reply with "fortune favours the brave"... Tell me .. do you think there are ANY cricketers howsoever small and nondescript, who are not braver than you and me?
RR - Fairytale performance, Very Good leader. Would like to end this fairytale story on happy ending. CSK - Able leadership of DHONI, Fighting performances. Dont want current Indian Captain to end on losing side.

When it omes to Shane Warne Old War Horse, But when it comes to Sachin Tendulkar Old Player, Wow what Splendid Cricket Logic U Have........................

DIFFERENCE : WARNE HAS GRACEFULLY RETIRED. SACHIN CONTINUES SHAMELESSLY. HALF THE HE IS PHYSICALLY DISABLED.
FURTHER : Warne did not block career of any youngster. He was also performing much better than any of his contemporaries. I will give u an example of Aussie and Indian System/memtality.
When Warne was banned for 1 year, after ban period ACB asked Warne to play domestic crickte for 6 months , prove HIS FORM to be better than other domestic plyares and then only he was selectde for National team. On the other hand when Sachin was out for 10 months due to tennis elbow, he straight away returned to National side WITHOUT PLAYING A SINGLE DOMESTIC MATCH.
This is blind hero worship or cartelisation/momopolisation

Ur Saying all this When Mumbai won the Ranji Trophy, Mumbai has won Ranji Trophy more than 37 Times, Sachin Tendulkar was Prominenet in all of them, When He Returned from Injury in 2007, He Played Ranji Trophy Finals under Amol Mazumdar's Captaincy and Scored a Double Hundred in that Finals and won it for Mumbai...................
Dont Argue on Talent of Sachin Tendulkar, According to Shane Warne, Sachin Tendulkar is the Best after Don Bradman, When Shane Warne thinks like that who are U and Me........................
You have missed main two points of my agruement..Any way.
Again , no one questions his ability. It is his present state which is being questioned. His physical faculties are failing. Half the time he is unfit. That breaks momentum of team. It is his lingering on which is questionable.
He should retire gracefully like Gilchrist, Warne , McGrath WHO WERE PERFORMING FAR BETTER WHEN THEY ANNOUNCED THEIR RETIREMENT.
