Dhoni lacks class
by Suraj Singh on Jun 01, 2008 01:30 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

See Sir Vivan Richards playing against some of the fastest bowlers. Then you all will realize. Next why can't we admit the Aussies are better than us?

i would appreciate ur thought if any test match is going on and dhoni didn't performed.but it seems more of some sort anger against dhoni for taking chennai to the finals.choose right time to criticize, other wise its valueless

by Maheswari on Jun 01, 2008 01:28 PM  Permalink

Yuvaraj singh said that he did not blame the wicket, saying that it was a good wicket on which a score of 160 to 180 could have been achieved batting first, but the early wickets did them in.

''Our batsmen failed to execute the plans. The batting stumbled at this hurdle and unfortunately for us this was the hurdle from which there was no coming back as we are out of the tournament now,'' coach remarked.

On the final tomorrow, Moody said he would go with Rajasthan Royals to win the trophy.

YUVRAJ's foolish team selection spoiled it.........
by cebujonas on Jun 01, 2008 01:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sangakkara was an unnecessary inclusion...

Yuvraj fumbled on using the Aussie bat power...

HOPES
MARSH
POMERSBACH

either one of them could do the score...

Also yuvraj himself lost brains to loose own wicket

Yuvraj has this natural ability to let down the team sooner or later...oHe shuld have batted senisbly instead of going for a mindless slogging.

There are players who worry about their averages etc so that they are known as big names. There are others who play to win. Before the beginning of the three finals and at the end of the last league match in which Uthappa had scripted Indian victory, Dhoni had lauded him for selfless play unlike those who play for their personal 50s and 100s. After winning the first final of the tri-series 2-0 he congratulated Sachin also for his good showing. That is what we expect from a good captain. Dhonis score in Australia tri-series was 2-0. Is that good enough for u?

tendulkar jaisa koi bhi aage paida nahi hoga india mein,....slogging his a-s-s out for 19 years, being consistent throught in tests and onedayers, hitting max centuries in both formats, max. runs in both formats in the world..and best record against champions aus...let rohit first play in tests but i doubt he can achieve even half of what tendulkar has achieved.

it was due to harbhajhan sardar's clueless captaincy and nehra's useless bowling that they lost most of their games..sachin's return inf act fired them up and they got 14 pts even when they had zero from their first 5.

Our Deputy Captain
by Maheswari on Jun 01, 2008 01:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Yuvaraj Singh said after the defeat in the semifinal ''We lost too many wickets at the top of the order and in a Twenty20 game it is very difficult to comeback once we fall behind.

We would have had a chance if we could have managed to get some early wickets but that also did not happen,'' he said.

He, however, said that overall he enjoyed leading the King's XI team adding, ''though we were not good enough today to put up a fight''.

KingsXI coach
by Maheswari on Jun 01, 2008 01:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Tom Moody said about the Royals 'They have been the most consistent side in the tournament and Shane Warne's captaincy and positiveness have rubbed off on his players. He has been a huge reason on them doing well. However, at the same time Chennai Super Kings are a dangerous team. However, I would go with Rajasthan Royals'', he added. Whether he is rightly said or not, tonight it will be known to everybody. Moreover, we can't expect a foreighner to appreciate Indians at this juncture. Let the good team win
