It's like rubbing salt in the wound of the Sachin haters. The more they want him to go downhill, the better he keeps performing. From being the highest scorer in the Australia test series, winning the ODI series in Australia, scoring highest runs in ODI's in last year, being the #2 batsman in the ICC OCI batting rankings, recieving Padma Vibhushan. It just keeps going on an on .... they more they hate him, the more salt he rubs into their wounds. It's so pleasing, LOL.

I don't have to rub him. The fact that you told me to do so suggests that Tendulkar have even rubbed a lot of salt in your wounds as well ... for which you couldn't bear the pain and gave a pinching comment, LOL.

you vikas y is this hatred, who you love i dont know, y is this bcoz, he is our pride there is no question on it, what else... it seems some thing barks at sun
there are some thing in life, which should be tried to follow, there is lot to learn from this great man. a example a 241 not out innings in australia in the last tour down under, he was not allowed to score even fifty in first three test, most of the occasion he was out because of trying and driving the ball on off side, but on this unbeaten innings he never tried to play it off but concentrated and worked the ball to make it on and straight. this type of temperment to be shown on high pressure situation is hardly we can only imagine doing it, or we can only thing oh is this a attitude to be tried to be followed. On the last issue of INDIA TODAY, named him the one of greatest 60 indians, where harsa wrote "there was a mail from a fan who asked harsa when the unfamous match fixing scandles where going on, pls tell me that sachin is not involved in this scandal, if sachin is involved then what else is left" after reading this i thought how much his mental and physical stress would be in this 18 flawless years, i wept.

Padma Vibhushan at age 35 is a signal that he is extraordinary to receive that award at such a young age while still being the best performer. I believe he knows his body much better than others. NAd it dosen't matter that he's missing the IPL matches, which translates to Mickey Mouse/Donald Duck cricket (entertaining though).

yep it doesn't matter that many many batsmen in modern times have much better records than Sachin in terms of strike rate averge conversion of 50s to 100s , making 300 runs etc. The only thing is Sachin has a lot of runs in ODIs which others may not catch up forever. However even there it is only because he has played so many matches, not because he is the greatest batsmen in ODIs. Sachin is a great batsmen no doubt but in no way can he considered to be the greatest after Bradman. Once upon a time he had the potential to match Bradman but he has not, all he has is a lot of runs, money and a lot of hero-worshipping blind fans. He has achieved much lesser than his talent allowed.

What matters for a professional ? Respect and views of his/her peers. There is Sir Donald Bradman, Sir garfield Sobers, Sir Vivan Richards, Shane Warne, Brian Lara, Ricky Ponting, Allan Donald, Wasim Akram, WISDEN, etc considering Tendulkar to be the best of his era. DO you think he gives a rat's @SS on what some fans think about him ?

Huh, every ex and current international player, dead or alive consider Tendulkar and Lara two of the best ever. And it certainly doesen't matter what a handful of fans think about him. All that really matter is views and respect of Tendulkar's peers, which he already have. And in terms of fans, the ratio of his fans against who are not would be 1000: 0.001

Be faaltu ki bakwas karke page ganda mat kiya kar.Logo ke paas teri ghatiya baate padhne ka waqt nahi hai.Agar cricket par kuch likhna hai to likh warna apna aur sabka time waste mat kiya kar.
there is definite inferiority complex among dravid, dada, dhoni, yuvi, kapil, gavaskar fan that why they bash sachin ,as they also know there favorite is no one infront of legendary sachin, who is the only cricketer to get arjuna and padma vibhusan award???definetly not your lesser motral favorites.

Sorry, please dont include Kapil nor try comparing Kapil with Sachin... Even BCCI recognised Kapil as best of the millenium and also at a time when Sachin was at his peak

Cricket bible WISDEN however rates Tendulkar as the 2nd best in Tests and the best in ODI's. I wonder who have more credibility, BCCI or cricket bible WISDEN ??

Yet WISDEN considers Tendulkar to be the 2ns best in Tests after Bradman, and the greatest ever in ODI's !!
i saw an article on Mutual funds success and the heading was Form Is Temporary and Class is permanant and showed the Pic of Sachin Tendulkar. This shows the Class of a person to appear in Economic times to explain the Mutual funds using Sachins class in cricket...

No. I dont think Sachin need to be awarded Bharat Ratna. Not yet. Maybe 10 years down the line it would be sensible.
RE:RE:congrats

Receiving Bharat Ratna before an Honorary Knighthood would be much better. It would be embarrassing for the Indian Government if Tendulkar gets a Knighthood before the Bharat Ratna.

Not only Sachin will be awarded for Bharat Ratna but his name has been recommonded by Sharad Power for India's Next President after Pratibha Patel.
RE:congrats

Well that would be awesome, but he'd prefer to rather spend time with his family after accomplishing himself as the greatest ever after Bradman .... rather than being the President.
