i accept the statement Mr . subramanium, this IPL is business on the Enternaiment Industry, It not the sports at all. these People are running business and money from our valuable time . in our daily life we usually allocate 1-2 hrs , if at all(may b eperson to person) if we see the 2 matches a day we atleast offer 4-5 hrs , which is a valuable time for all of us(i mean all).we are wasting time and our work envirnoment concentrating on it. and ultimately they are doing business on it. they are boosting to see the matches by cheer leaders ,celebraties ..etc. so dera ll do u think shall we encouage the IPL macthes . i dont say not to see cricket but there should be thevalue in it. as for our country point, as these busiiness persons think , they crores of indian s are useless and give value to IPL enternaiment industry
it looks to me IPL is just a money making machine, all these bloody film stars investing money and betting on teams.I was suprised about preity zinta's team, when she removed players from her team, saying these players are burden.Thats such a shame. Why these idiots are making cricket a money game.BCCI and ICC should stop this event ASAP.I think, none of these film stars know, what cricket all about, they are just money hungry.

ankit, your are right. they are looters of public money. more than the game now the focus of media is also only players money making abilities. our tax money is going to various cricketers of other countries. pity. whats our great politicians are doing? why are they keeping quiet? anything already gone to their kitty?

how can you say that ? our tax money is not going to cricketers pocket, instead its going to politician's pocket..they are being paid by the business tycoons. there are a lots of other things to worry about.. leave IPL alone.. if your are not interested dont watch it at all.. there are many other persons who are interested which makes this event a success.

Difficult for DC as they are at the bottom of the chart. Instead it could be 1. RR 2. KP 3. DD 4. CSK
and the winners will be RR. Regarded as the most under-rated / inactive team. Now earned themselves 'Giant Killers'. Good to see them destroy all the other teams :-)
Are you suggesting that since Shikar is playing well, if we have a re-bid, boards will buy him instead of Dravid or Brett Lee??? These players brings in viewership, where is that factored in your ratings?? Who cares if a Rajat scores a hundred or Manpreet takes a hat-trick without the big names in cricket playing IPL
rediff must highlight the one superstar from mumbai not yer played a single ball but alwayes in news..atleast laxman dravid kumble ganguly s are putting en effort so many young players are performing so well but media and cric expert hadely make any noise about them. Chocker Shoib akthar who is proven guilty for drug test is joining KKRs for IPL. then why Harbajan should bet such harsh punishment? Why not some local players like R Bose are not getting chance? some cric experts who always gave one sided biased comments are now realising their team was not doing well.Pollock is leadign from front and winning match for mumbai but media is still busy one superstar is not fit to play.. media and cric experts should credit to players / performance when it really due or derseves is Umpriresmany lbw decisions were wrong why can't ipl body Pathan is highest wkt taker hardsly mentioned by media or jaffer was criticised by same ppl is performing better and scoring runs consistantly most underestmated team RRs are on top of table with 10 points ind media / cric experts really biasedt
This is probably one of the better outcomes of IPL - objective performance measurement of players. I agree that Rediff's PV Index is far more comprehensive than Economic Times' MRR and MSR.
The same measurement system could be adopted to select players for the Indian team. To prevent shammers from skipping tough matches, a negative score must be applied for missing matches. That way clever players will not be able to keep their PVI high by playing only against weak opponents.
Indian Team selection for Test, ODI and T20 matches must be based on similar performance appraisals at domestic level. An experienced player currently playing at the international level may be given 65% weightage for their performance at that level.
But I think we are on the way. There will be no room for corruption, at least as far as team selection is concerned.
