i dont think venkatesh prasad is of any use as a bowling coach, robin singh has done a fine job,but we can have wasim akram as our bowling caoch which can do very well with all the fast bowlers of indian cricket.

Hi Mohammed, V Prasad is the one who taught the world how to bowl a slow bowling...n..in the perth test he told and taught bowlers how to use the wind to do swinging...though he is not a bowling legend but he is a excellent coach though..

Ishant should focus on his fitness
by rocky on Mar 08, 2008 03:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

since ishant is 6' 4", which is basketball players height, he should be given a basketball to bowl and practice. this will make him develop interest and also enable bowling accurately when cricket ball is given.

ishant
by anoop haridas on Mar 08, 2008 02:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i think Mr kapil Dev Got a point there.
Ishant have to concentrate on his fitness which almost all the indian pacers( barring Kapil dev himself) are lacking. Look at balaji, sree Shant,Agarkar,Zaheer ,nehra ,Irfan......all these guys have tremendous potetntial but the problem is the fitness. If you verified the records you will see Kapil Played 125 Test matches without missing even a day and was able to scalp 400 test wickets, which is incredible. So dont spoil ishant career ,till very early, and if he can work on his fitness regularly there we have a bowler .this not only for ishant but also for all our young fast bowling guys

Excellent Team
by Anantha Naarayanan on Mar 08, 2008 02:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear BCCI Officials,

Why can't you train Ishant, Sreesanth, Praveen under Kapil Dev, Wasim Akram or McGrath. Over a period of time, India can just score 200 in Tests and 150 in limited overs to win.

Praveen, your outswinger to Gilly in 2nd ODI was excellent, also you should try to move the ball from middle. Anyway, all the best for the young chaps !

BCCI should appoint exclusive bowling coach
by Kamal on Mar 08, 2008 02:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We have some young good bowling talents available now and BCCI should capitalize this and take it asn opportunity to conver these young bowlers as world class bowlers. Needless to mention that BCCI should seek the help of Great bowlers like Wasim Akram, Imran Khan, Kapil Dev and other great bowlers of yester years to coach these young talents. Ishanth, Praveen and Sreesanth are real assets to the team and they will become world class bowlers if they are coached properly. Chakde India.

You are right. However, I would like add one more thing. Apart from having a great bowling Coach, the Board also do necessary things to make our pitches helpful to speedsters. That will not only encourage the present crop, but would bring up more in the coming years.

We get Two (Preveen Kumar & Ishant Sharma) Super Speedest Blowers after the Great Kapil Dev. Surely Indian Team will be going to toppest position.

Praveen bowls at 132kmph average. max he has ever bowled fastest was 137kmph. ishant has touched 153kmph. Praveen is a quality swing bowler.not the
fasht" bowler u think. but both would serve india well in the future.
