In second innings in ODI's he has scored 16 centuries . out of these 16 india has won on 14 occasions . out of these 16 ecnturies 5 have come against ZIM , 4 against aus, 2 against SA , 2 against SL ,2 against kenya and 1 against WI.
to add to that he has 21 scores of 50 and above in which he has helped india to win in second innings. out of these 21 , 7 innings are not out innings. in these 21 innings there are 7 innings which are above 90. he has got out after the 40th overs after ensuring India's win. Still people say sachin doesnt play match winning innings. and mind u these are only the innings in which he has batted second.

see one cannot help if team loses. if sachin scores century in 1st innings then how come it is his fault? the boulers should be blamed if he scores century and team loses. cricket is a team's game. if one batsman is hitting a century, then they should bowl out the opposition soon. then the positive result would come. after a loooooonnng time, i've seen a GEM OF AN INNINGS from the Great batsman....keep it up!!!!

I am waiting for Wc 2011, for real tendulkar to show in finals. I am sure he shall because this this time it is in subcontinent.
i am sure that everyone will be happy that tendiya scored--dhoni let the cat out of the bag by saying that he is supposed to get records!! all that is fine but how many players have got so many chances like sachin--any good player will score runs after a lean patch but compare treatment meted out to sachin vis a vis others!!!

It makes me really sick to here this. Arent we all proud that India defeated Australia. First ever win in SCG. First ever win in a Final. That too by a clinical performance by good captaincy, good bowling and top it all great batting. But here everyone is trying to satisfy their ego by trying to get on top of the Master Blaster. One does not get too many chances if he is not a really good player. The fact that Sachin has played most number of matches is sufficent to prove that he is really the greatest.

totally agree. The match was set up by bowlers. Sachin knew score was not big and hence no pressure. Even other wise he wanted to score century at any cost for sake of his own dubious record in australia.

Agree with your comments whole heartedly about Kapil, Sachin and Dravid. They have been the torch bearers of Indian Cricket. These three and Anil Kumble will be loved and respected by a billion hearts forever.
How I wish that Sachin had scored some runs in WC 2003 finals!! How i wish He scored some runs in WC 2007 match against SL!!. Don't kid. This match was not knock out or high pressure match. WC knockout is mother of all matches and ultimate pressure. Sachin has hoplessly failed in that, and even he knows that. Still I shall not criticise him because I know he is after all a human. We must be happy that he has started, contributing when required.

Do you consider Final is the only game he has to play ? . How did Idia reach to Finals in 2003 ? Look at his records in the World cup... He scored better than any other player. hey hari ..i m afraid if that cen wud hav really helped...as we were chasing 359 ..n that too agains the aussie fielding wih Mcgrath firing all cylinders ...so dude that match waz ower even before sachin walked in to bat...u need to curse the bowlers ....so india wud hav lost the match even with a sachin making 150 as there waz no 1 too compansate fr the martins knock...as it is sachin single handedly bot india to the finals...scoring some 674 odd runs now isnt dat enough fr u or u expected him to score 1000 runs ...ha ha i hav 1 quote fr u "it happens only in indaia"

yesturday, was superb day in Indian History as India Notch up the Worldcup in under 19 then winning first final and the last India Thrash Russia. One big plus is Tendulkar scored 117 run in a most mattered situation. We should be proud of that
