he wants karthik to b in the team first in the 15 then in the 11. he was totally out of form prior to ausi series. but before the selection, kumble allowed karthik to score lucky 50 in dead ind pitch to select him to ausi tour. he was pathetic there. he was pathetic even in ipl.
now again kumble preferring karthik over parthiv the keeper-cum-batsman-opener, the most prolific run scorer in the last domestic season including ipl matches n A tours. kumble's favouritism costs ind too much.
Replace Karthik with Dravid as Keeper.Bring in additional bowler in either Munaf or Ohja. The team Should be (In the batting order) Sehwag Gambhir Dravid Sachin Ganguly Laxman Kumble Harbhajan Zaheer Ishant Ohja

good team. but cant put addl burden on dravid of keeping. nowadays dravid avoids keeping even in odis. then test matches r totally different. yes. but karthik shud b replaced with parthiv. n replace rusty zaheer with young pacer rp or even munaf.
first change the so-called keeper karthik. bring parthiv patel keeper-cum-batsman-opener, the most successful batsman with more than 1500 runs in the last domestic season alongwith ipl tourney n A tours.
then keep ishant as only pacer n ojha as 3rd spinner or may b rp singh against zaheer khan.

sehwag, gambhir drevid, tendulkar,Ganguli,laxman,parthiv, kumble,harbhajan,jaheer,r.p.singh.
Recent time BCCI has taken some bold and good decisions. Now it is the time to select young players for Test also. These five players Kumble, Dravid, Sachin, Ganguli, Lakshman, they have had their best time in the field, now their time have gone. So, if they are reluctant to retire from the game BCCI should show them the door.Badrinath, Rohit Sharma, Raina many more players are knocking the door for the place in the Test team. Get up BCCI do it man....
new talents like rohit sharma,suresh raina should be given chance in place of ganguly and dravid.zaheer khan should play only in ranjee trophy.there should be combination of young talents with experience of sachin,then team will perform well.
I remember reading an article here on rediff, wherein One Rohit Sharma had boasted that playing Murali and Mendis would be no problem. Why doesn't someone interview that guy again!
