People of this country have strange obsessions. Lalu ruled and spoiled Bihar for 15 years. Jyoti Basu ruled Bengal for 25 years and ruined it. But they still are Heros for us. Sachin has become more of a baggage for the Indian team but still people of this country will keep supporting him and hope that one day he will play well... it is height of obsession. Every cricket critic will talk against Ganguly and Dravid easily but will never say a word against Sachin inspite of his poorer perfomances compared to both of them. For God's sake please come out of obsessions and get real... Past is past.. Sachin is no more what he was. Incidently why did Dhoni opt out of the series. Very simple... He has been signed for 36 brands.. A shoot for a campaign takes approx 3 to 5 days.. therefore he needs atlease 150 days to honor his commitments. Poor guy, how much is at stake for him... he is so tired.. IPL, Advts, fashion shows.. he is tired of playing cricket for country which doesn't fetch him enough..

Really ? Can you mention Sachin's poor performances in the last 1 year other than the last test match ? Come on, just mention some of his poor performance during the last year. Just making statements don't matter, back them up with facts.

I'm waiting, name some of Tendulkar's poor performances during that last 1 year !!
Team India have went through many disasters in the past. Who can forget the absolutely terrible and horrible tour to New Zealand in early 2003. India were beaten black and blue in both the Test and ODI series during that tour.
Then they started the 2003 World Cup is disaster mode as well, with moderate performance during their 1st match against Holland, and losing badly in the 2nd match against Australia. Then they came back in form with Tendulkar guiding the team to the finals.

Even I'm really hurt on this loss. But what can we do ?? There is nothing else for us other than to wait and see their performance in the future.
We Indians gives too much important to cricket Indian Media's are useless, they make an average cricketer to a super star Indians only have legends and they don't play as a team. We do not have or never had a quality bowler We give to much important to a batsman not to bowler and everybody wants to became a batsman not a bowler (you can feel when kids plays cricket). BCCI has to do something from grass root to produce a quality bowler.

areee yaar.... what a stupidity. why u pick an option for either kumble or harbhajan... itz not possible to sit out any one. Look on how lanka picked wicket in the first test.Mendis-Murali took 19 out of 20. we give Jaffer too much opportunities. he isn'tgood. Why there is yousuf? this isn't 20-20.Badarinath is a very good option. Should give a chance to play test cricket. otherwise after two years India is become a worst team in Test. Maybe Dravid,Sachin,Ganguly and Laxman play for another two years and india will struggle to find a better middle-order. Give enough practice to Badrinath, Raina, Rohit, Dhawan etc.

if dhoni is made captain, kumble shal definately retire, in fact if this series is lost 2-0 or 3-0, he shall be sacked..
Only Laxman looked comfortable against the spinners. But Cricket is a team game, so its no use just one or two batsmen being comfortable. I feel India might lose 2-0 or 3-0.

You think right, but it will not happen by batting collapse. Our bowlers can't take 20 wickets in a test.
It's not fair to point fingers at any particular player in the 1st Test. All the 11 players failed to perform in that match. None of the batsman batted well, none of the bowlers bowled well, neither did the wicket keeper performed well behind the stumps.
Anyway, there is nothing else to do other than to wait and watch their performance in the 2nd Test match starting from the 31st of this month.

True man. A good start is very essential for us. And I really hope India bats first in the 2nd Test.
