sachins selfishness
by MeraBaap SabkaBaap on Jul 28, 2008 03:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Whenever sachin come close to hit century, he used to take 30-40 balls to score remaning 10-15 runs. I dont understand a person who scores his first 85-90 runs / ball, take 30-40 balls to score remaining 10-15 runs.

Sehwag, whenever he is on 50-60 he throws his wicket and India come to under pressure.

Think about this guy. Don't think about Sachin he is master of this game.

Ans to Can India stop Murali and Mandis ?
by M SAKTHIVELMURUGAN on Jul 28, 2008 03:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It's all in the game. Today SL has the edge of the and it is not too far for us. The revenge will be seen in the next match. We hope and provide our essential support to our players.

All the best to our players and play with courage against the old muthiah and the recent Mendis.

Murali is not palying first time against India. His bowling average is worst against India.

We played well Mendis in last test. He took only out of form Dravid and Laxman wickets. Other were talenders.

If our bowlers done better then we have a chance.

what positive thinking you are talking about????

why dont these senior's make way to young blood. if we can afford to loose the matches with senior players, so why cant with youngers?

let them play... may be they will loose same games..but atleast they will get the experience of higher level....

Now what sachin, dravid, laxman, kumble wants to show....we respects their contributions,..but its time to step down...these seniors will get hard treatment from BCCI..i am sure

Many things need to be improved from Indian side
by Readiff on Jul 28, 2008 02:53 PM  Permalink

1. Fielding is crap in 1st test (esp Karthik who left many easy catches). Its worth taking risk by including Parthiv Patel, who can bat better than Karthik.
2. Bowling needs to be improved a lot (lacks creativity and enthusiasm), should give chance to Ojha or bring Amit Sharma and sack Harbhajan or Kumble (he is a captain, so he wouldn't like to sit out). Zaheer has very limited ammunition, which could be easily exploited and hence we need 3rd pacer.
3. If the above two departments set right, the pressure on batting will be exponentially reduced. Our batsmen just need to focus and play their natural game without any distractions.

Sachin The Great
by A Singh on Jul 28, 2008 02:50 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Some fools are making heavy whether of India's expected loss in the first Test. What is new in India losing matches? They have been the most consistent losers on the circuit apart from Bangladesh. There is nothing to feel sorry about in losing a Test Match.

The thing to cherish is; that Sachin Tendulkar, our Lord and Master, is now 39 runs closer to Brian Lara's record. Who cares if we lose some more matches, but The Lord and Master is surely going to surpass Lara in next 12 months. Cheer up Indians!

Mendis will not let India come back in series
by pradeep agarwal on Jul 28, 2008 02:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is not shotputter but Mendis who has mesmerized Indian batsman by his unorthodox action.the team has simply no clue to his bowling & has catapulated 3rs time in a row cheaply against him.I don't thing Murali with his illegal action has much to do with our dilemma & our little & old age masters our unlikely to turn the tide.

Bowl well ...
by sunooj sasidharan on Jul 28, 2008 02:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

First test stat
Muralidharan 11 wkts, Mendis 8 wickets for SL.
Kumble 0 wkts and Harbhajan 2 wkts fro India.

If we want to win the test series these 2 need to bowl well.

Forget about winning dear. Fortunately in Test Cricket; there is a third possibility, which is called: DRAW
Concentrate on saving matches. If we cannot bat 100 overs despite The God playing for us, what else can we do except losing?

Lara's record
by A Singh on Jul 28, 2008 02:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

So much news is being made of Sachin surpassing Lara's record of highest aggregate of Test Runs.

How are Sachin's supporters going to feel after Ponting overtakes Sachin in less than a year!

The only record Sachin can keep is that of playing highest number of Test Matches. With his selflessness, he has the potential to play more matches than Test Match Wickets taken by Murali.

Ponting is finished now. First time he got injured in his career. If Aus play well in his absence then Aus selectors will force Ponting for retirement like they did with S.Waugh.
He can't overtake Sachin.

Sack Kirsten and bring back Rajput. Some people may argue that Rajput was being just plain lucky. So what!! At least the team was winning.
