Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble are the most difficult bowlers to keep wickets against because they have so many variations....????
What P.Patel will do if he is asked to keep against mendis whos is having 5 differnt deliveries...lol I guess then we need 5 P.Patel to save the runs behind wickets...lol

Bajji learnt doosra from Pakis and taught it to Murali. Today, Murali bowls better doosras.
This guy was one of the reasons why we lost the tour down under in 2001. True cricket is a team game, but when you see a keeper letting go as many as 10-15 chances a begging! He especially missed some when aussies were right on the mat. Who ever has seen that series and not from Gujarat will agree with me ;)
It was so funny...Ian Healy from the commentary box started giving on-field tips to him.
Also may be this is just the past and he is much better now , but i am sure its not better than karthi ..may be as good as him...more over his height is always going to be a factor while keeping.
And agree he is good batsman, in fact my gut feel is he will retire as a batsman.

true. he faltered initially in his teenage years, he was doing mistakes, but he overcame all his technical flaws playing hard ckt throught these 4 years at all level like domestic ckt, ind-A tours overseas n on all kinds of pitches. teenager gets the benefit of time for learning n improving their talent n removing any technical flaws. now he deserves a chance n he had earned his place thru sheer hard work.

Luckily there is no WK from Mumbai. Else, Patel might have joined Raina as another dropout.

Dhoni - 100 Parthiv - 10 Dinesh - 10 Don't fight to prove which 10 is better.

i m sure kumble will prefer karthik over parthiv as he is typical shouthie brinjalllllllllllllll
Parthiv got a chance at tender age of 17. But even during those times, he showed glimpses of his talent when in his very first test, he remained unbeaten against Eng (in English conditions of swing bowling) and saved India from a sure defeat (similar to dhoni's role in first test in eng 2007). He was hardly 17 then. He proved his batting abilities not merely on flat batting pitches of india, but in all bouncy/pacy/swinging conditions n also against the bowlers like Andrew Nel. His recent ipl performance is a proof of that. He has been consistently performing not only with the glove but also with the bat and even in the Opening slot (like Karthik) as well, scoring big 100s in India-A, RoI teams in Irani trophy. I think he has also opened for India reasonably well. He had some problem in his keeping during his initial period, but that also appears to have been sorted out by him by sheer hard work.
Dhoni lovers wudnt like it but against quality bowlers like ausi on bouncy pitches like in ausi, parthiv is much better bat then dhoni.
