Have u followed cricket mr farookh.If u think so then u are fooling urself u know nothing abt the game.Sachin has played innumerable match winning innings in all sort of condition.

When India was well positioned sachin could not take it to winning position in Chennai against pakistan.

The same Sachin brought India near cictory with terrible bak pain. He required surgery after the game. He was not supposed to bat in that innings, but decided to do it for his country. He played with a belt around his waist to ease the pain. And finally when he couldn't bear the pain, he tried to finish the match early and got out. After than the remaining 4 batsman couldn't score the remaining 16 runs.

No he didn't. Because he required back surgery after that match. Also he was not supposed to play in the innings, but did so just because his team needed him. He couldn't bear the agony and pain of his sore back at last, and tried to quickely finish the match.
Why to make such lists? Comparision between several players will not lead any future betterment of sports.. just do your office work, studies and watch good & fixed cricket.. do not discuss fictions..

He played 5 world cups, how many India won it ? when you expect score from him, he merely fails. He scored only in high score match or in dead pitchs, he never batted well in a bowling dominated pitchs, like dravid, laxman ,sewag, scored 5 in the world cup final. Just one century in fast bowling dominated pitches like Windies, Australia and In new zealand

1. Brian Lara too played in 5 World Cups, never won any.
2. He have the world record for most Test runs away from home. He averages above 40 in all the countries he have played at. Dead rubber ? Don't think so !!
3. In Test cricket, he have 6 centuries in Australia, 3 in South Africa, 4 in England, 4 in Sri Lanka, 1 each in West Indies & Pakistan & New Zealand. He have a grand total of 23 centuries away from India.

well mr farookh cricket is team game so dont blame one individual for not winning world cup.he did his best in 92,96 and 2003.he has more centuries outside india in all sort of conditions from perth to headingley.get ur facts right.u know nothing about the game.stop fooling urself

Saeed Anwar is there. what a joke. This player was only a batsman and that not the best one at any time during his career. it has happened so many times that after his batting, he never came for fielding on those matches.
Looks like this selection panel was bench of jokers. No Sachin, No Sanath Jayasurya.
