world XI
by Gopal Rao on Jul 15, 2008 07:03 AM  Permalink

Just can't compare oldies with new players. It is useless and give importance.Definetly my world XI is different from this as I have not seen most of them play. Ignore this imaginary teams.

Cricket bible WISDEN rates Tendulkar as the 2nd greatest Test batsman, and Richards as the 3rd greatest Test batsman ever. Richie Benaud, arguably the most respected cricket expert rate Tendulkar as the best ever batsman since the days of Bradman. Benaud even watched Bradman play in his lifetime. He made his debut on 1948 or 1949.

I do agree with your comment Don Bradman is the best and so is Gavaskar. Sachin is not close to both of them. He is one of the best players but could not be mention ahead either of two.

Viv was just splendid...no comparison
