Let him prove today to shut the allegations. Victory is the only reply. No lam execuses are allowed. Enough is enough. Mere league match wins are doing nothing. Let him opening the innings with Raina and prove he is not having fear about new ball or power plays. Everybody knows how to cakewalk.

Allegations against Dhoni : 1. Egoist 2. Not giving respect to Senir players. 3 Not appreciating the co-players when they take wickets or scoring big runs. 4. Not consulting with others in and off the ground. 5. Not clearly mentioning which order he will bat. 6. Not giving match winning performance

So what, For Me Indian Team and Mach winner's are more important than Captain, I give importance to Match winner's like Don Bradman, Viv Richards, Sachin Tendulkar, Viru Sehwag and Gautham Gambhir.
In Football also the Player who scores Goals is more important than Captain like Pele, Maradona(When He was not Captain), Ronaldo, Schawanstiger, Wayne Rooney, Zinedine Zidane and now Fernando Torress......................................................................
Pakistan already out of the tournament and it would be interesting to see that which team does the crowd lend its support.
I hope, We may be in some dilemma whether to go in with five specialist bowlers or with four bowlers, while the Lankans will bring back Vaas and Mendis to make use of their expertise against the famed Indian batting line-up.
We may go with Dhoni, Veeru, Gambhir, Yuvraj, Raina, Rohit , Ishant, Irfan Pathan, RP Singh, Piyush Chawla and Praveen Kumar.
The spinners are also finding it difficult to get turn in the middle overs. So the batting has to take the responsibility and support the bowlers, that means to score a huge total.
Interestingly, Lanka have a great record in the Asia Cup history. They have been a part of seven finals out of the eight played so far.
Even the Lankans would sound foolish if they say that they have a better line up than the Indians. The current Indian team has proved it in last year or so that on any given day it can bring about the most unexpected victories.
I hope, Dhoni and Kirsten would not be counting much on our last win and would be intelligent enough to know that it would be hard to not to expect a fired-up Lankan team.
Though it would difficult to predict the winner before the match as both sides look very much balanced, Lankans would still have an edge over us with the experience of Vaas and Murlitharan which will be backed up by the 'tweaker' Mendis whom India is yet to see.
But as far as Dhoni is concerned, he has always been behind his bowlers and tried to back his bowlers. He said not only his bowlers but every team has been at the reacing end on such flat tracks.
The scores of over 300 runs have been successfully chased in the tournament and both the teams have come under the sledge hammers.
However, in the last and the only match played between the two sides in the tournament, India emerged as winners posting a convincing six-wicket win over a depleted (?) Lankan outfit.
Lanka, in their last match, were without pace spearhead Chaminda and the leading wicket-taker of the tournament Mendis. We had a cakewalk as our in-form batsmen sabotaged the Lankan bowling.
Since most bowlers have struggled in this Asia Cup, particularly our bowlers, Gary Kirsten is right that the batsmen will have to stand up and be counted..... and counted big! It means we have to have a big depth in batting big that too with big hitters. All the more reason that big hitters like Yusuf and Irfan, Piyush Chawla need to be selected not only for their bowling, which, as it is, will suffer but for the big hitting. The pure bowlers like RP Singh and Ishant are to be sympathised with and supported.

U miss the point - take bowlers who can bat big and not just bowlers, who are going to be hit in any case ! After all, if the top 5 batsmen n the Indian line-up perform, Irfan, Yusuf and Piyush may not even have to perform or at best, finish the job in the slog overs!! Nobody is suggesting that they be taken in, only for their batting, dud!
With top-order firing on all cylinders, our team is all set to go all out to regain the Asia Cup when we take on the defending Champions in the final clash today.
While the bowlers have had a tough time in the tournament so far, India would bank heavily on its batsmen especially the in-form openers to once again see off the challenge from the Islanders.
Today's final is an acid test for M.S.Dhoni to break all the allegations raised against him. Otherwise, he will fall on his own ego and socalled lack of captainship by all
India has not won a final match against Sri Lanka since 1998. So of Dhoni fails, he will be following in footsteps of Great Sachin, Dravid and Ganguly.
So he SHOULD be hailed, even if he fails , by fans of these great players

Yes Rambo.......Failure should be hailed by fans of the "tridev" for the said reason . Also it increases the chances of "tridev" to come back to Indian team
Since 1998, India ha not won agaisnt SL in a final match. So if Dhoni fails to win today, HE WILL ONLY BE FOLLOWING IN FOOTSTEPS OF GREAT 3, SACHIN, SAURAV AND DRAVID. So he SHOULD be hailed even if he fails by the fans these greats.
