I think yesterday's Dhoni's propmotion up the batting order was really a master stroke. . It achieved two things 1) It shielded Yuvraj from Murali and the SL Spin bowlers as we know yuvi doesnt play spin well. Also Yuvraj off late has been throwing away his wicket and even if he had scored a 20-30 and then thrown away his wicket it wudnt have been good enough. another wicket at that stage could have caused some panic 2) Raina also calmed down and played patiently with Dhoni. remember Raina was dropped before when battng with Gambhir. both did not fear about the run rate and kept working singles and twos well and ran well preserving their wickets. This enabled them later to accelerat well knowing that we still have yuvi-rohith to come unlike the last match(dhoni-rohith accelereted very late as we were 4 down already). Even ater loosing dhoni-raina and quick succession, yuvi -rohith kew that they had to just get 50-60 odd which on this wicket was a cake walk. I think it was a fearless approach from Dhoni to come up the order to control the mid-overs well. he ran his twos and threes well considering the fatigue the guys wud have had after 2 consecutive days against non-minnow oppositions in that heat.
What I have noticed is that your journalists do a 'Cut and Paste' job while writing a story. e.g." Sri Lanka have already qualified for the final while India must win the game to book the other spot in the summit clash and put the hosts out of the reckoning." Does it make any sense now that India have already qualified for the finals? This is not the first time. I have noticed it earlier also. SN, MD
i am huge tendulkar fan,but i was probably the first one who predictaded dhoni will be great for indian cricket even befeore he had made his debut by seeing him playing for india A,that time even misbhah ul haq was playing for pak A,but it was dhoni who immpressed me a lot.now after seeing dhoni for last 4 year i can safely conclude that he will be going down in indian history as the greatest sportperson.I am proud of you dhoni.

We cannot compare Dhoni and Tendulkar. They are different class. Dhoni has long way to go. He is great batsman but it is too early to say anything. Tendulkar has prooved his metal. Lets wait and watch how Dhoni makes the progress

which talent you are talking about? what has he done differently. he is doing things which he has failed to do in each and every match. and now he scores 67 you start to praise him like he has achieved a great milestone. Had we batted first, definitely SL would have scored these runs like Pak did in last match

@ghali, whats so communal in saying jai hanuman etc. You guys have the attitute of saying insha allah & bulla for every other thing without knowing the true meaning.
