ganguly was prvious captain of India and was responsible for making it a fighting unit.
He is also a very stylish batsman though weak in fielding.

Bro its too early to compare Dhoni to Kapil Dev. They both performed in different format of cricket, Dhoni won T20 W-Cup While Kapil won One Day W-Cup. If win the next One Day W-Cup, then we can compare him to Kapil. After 1983 W-Cup only one Captaing gives the result of Reaching to the W-Cup Final he is the only one Saurav Ganguly. I think only he can be compared to the Kapil Dev. But rememeber he was also not able to won the Title So he can only be compared and Kapil is the best yet in One day format. And Dhoni is Best in T20 format. I know Dhoni is nice but he has got a long career ahead. He has to lead for the next World Cup. After next W-Cup the picture will be more clear.

your immense love for sachin making you to hate dhoni,but as i told you before it was sachin only who wanted dhoni to be odi captain,thet both have immense respect for each other.why you hate dhoni don't you think he is the best wicketkeeper batman india has ever had.

Simply Som.... You simply forgot the main point. He is the best wicketkeeper batsman CAPTAIN India ever had. Yesterday they were showing analysis on TV that he has played continuous cricket for 2 days. Its not easy to KEEP WICKETS in such hot,humid energy sapping conditions in back to back matches (nearly 100 overs of wicketkeeping in 2 matches and then again coming out to bat and playing without getting tired and also coming up with MATCH WINNING PERFORMANCE like yesterday where he led from FRONT and took India to finals of Asia Cup.
Also everyone who watches Dhoni says he is NEVER pressurised by captaincy. He is as cool as ice on the field no matter what(Even great Tong Greig, Greg Chappel & Sunny Gavaskar, Shastri and Rameez and others have said that he is COOL CAPTAIN who never shows any emotion even when they WIN or LOSE. He always encourages his team mates even if they are under the hammer and performing below par or have had a bad day at the office.Thats why he is able to consistently win and motivate his boys and thats why India is today the 2nd best team in ODIs and BEST in T20s in the world. Dhoni is the ONE OF THE BEST CAPTAINS in World cricket now. He is young and he can only learn from his mistakes in each match and improve more to become the BEST soon.

Hope we will remember his character till the end! Normally Indians have short memories and that's make the success ever eluding. Remember success is built on history and never comes all on a sudden. So 'history' should not be history.You got to remember it.

common as i commented before why some people here hate this man for no reason ,he is the most charming person in the team ,never get angry at his team mamber like a true captain.avg mindboggling 47 in odi with sr of 98 ,being a wicket keeper still some insane fellow want him to be replaced by ordinary player like parthiv,karthik what a joke.I have immense respect for dhoni like sachin.from a non cricketing centre one fellow came now getting 50 crore per year what the problem with that???????he inspire every poor man to achive bigger thing in life.once again well done dhoni.
