Tendu is nowhere near Fedx. Fedx is a true champ & equally a good human being not like sachin who is greedy & plays only for money & records. If ganguly had played the amt of matches sachin played, he wud hav easily beaten sachin's century. Mind U i am not fm Bengal

n wats the joke part in it. Do you Sachin can make a billion people cheer n smile by his Six on the bowling of Shoaib Akhtar. Do you know in the mid and late Nineties after match fixing era Cricket as a game was loosing the charm n this single player of our team was responsible to make this game alive. Never ever in his life Federer would have felt the same pressure which Sachin had. Now tell me is it an honour for Federer or not.I am the Indian who beleives that its an honour for Nelson Mandela to be compared with Gandhi n its an honour for Shakespear to be compared with Kalidas.

When Brown came to India he had to simply please the Indian public. so he said that is a good contender for knighthood. He also added that he is not the person to announce knighthood.

Federer would soon call Sachin as Sir Sachin, after he is knighted by the Queen.

The citizens of a repubic cannot be knighted, because the status of all the citizens in a republic is same otherwise Gavaskar and many other Indians would have been knighted.

Citizens of a Common Wealth can be knighted, which India is. Salman Rushdie was knighted last year similarly. Anyways, Gordon Brown has just given his personal thought not the opinion of the knighthood committee. Bharet Ratna Shri Sachin Tendulkar sounds very much appeasing to my ears rather than Sir Sachin Tendulkar.

If he does not know, it is his bad luck and lack of knowledge of current affairs. By the way, the type of education about world, these guys are taught, it is most likely that he doesnot know even about India.

It may be Vice Versa
by S Shrikanth on Jan 23, 2008 03:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I do not think NBA would have approached BCCI,It would be Vice versa. BBCI might have approaced to NBA and Swiss Govt to rope in Tendulkar. This is a massive campaign and Tendulkar and BCCI will gain a lot of commercial advantage in India and abroad. We need to understand how news items are twisted before published.

Mr Srikanth,

You should be ashamed of yourself for making such statements against Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin doesn't need any publicity. He has enough on his hands anyway.

Be proud to be an Indian and on what an Indian has managed to achieve.

Jai Hind
