Adelaide
by partha partha on Jan 22, 2008 10:14 PM  Permalink

Everything else said - I think the team that bat first will win. It is such a stupendous advantage, especially for us, that that is all I will focus on.

Anil - all the best with the toss (I think Rahul should have been dropped from captaincy much earlier than he did simply because he lost most tosses and couldnt get us to bat first).

If India bats first, we will win.

I dont need to mention that in Melbourne and Sydney, we fielded first.

Cricket was boring last week? Hayden, what are you talking?
by deepa swamy on Jan 22, 2008 09:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Haydos, agree aussies dominated in MCG, but as far as sydney, we had a 69-run lead in the first innings, which would have been more if not for your buddy symonds and your skipper, who didn't walk after big nicks. On top of it, the 2 umpires gave some favorable decisions to you at the right time for you...plus your other buddy clarke claimed a catch that he took off one pitch...these were the boring parts of the test...the champion team at its best cheating ways....Please dont try to say that Aussies have had a cakewalk so far. we all accept that you're the number one team, but give credit to the team that has made life miserable in the last month for you.

Hayden says they had a little glitch in their radar('cause the engineerBucknor was sick)during the Perth Test.By the end of Adelide Test they are will discard the Radar('cause Er.BuckS is irreplacable).Maybe Hayden will only be retired "unhurt" after the series. He may even be seen taking to Radar Engineering like a fish takes to a hook.

We are not tralining, we are 1-1 (MCG test not taken into account due to pathatic umpiring and unsportsman behaviour of Australia, we would have for sure won that test, but we are considering it cancelled so Aus would not CRY....).

I totally agree with what Deepa Swamy has said. Australia should not count having won Sydney the test at all.

what challenge ???
by sunil panikar on Jan 22, 2008 09:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

First, understand the basics of cricket...
Second, have some sporting spirit or atlest borrow and learn from your neighbouring cricketing nations...
and then dare to challenge...
if u guys had not cheated with all the Umpires backing you... India would have been 2-1 up in this series... So act smartly and try to play some real cricket instead of throwing words at India...
Show your and your teams aggressive cricket with the bat, the ball and the fielding... and above all the sportsmanship... Do you have the guts to do so ??? Let us seeee...

Oz will win

True.
With Mathew Hayden, the chances of taking 20 Aus wickets is very tough.

But for a few decisions, we did take 20 wickets in good time in Sydney. Why not in Adelaide???

Hayden, a weeping baby like other Australians
by sd on Jan 22, 2008 08:46 PM  Permalink

Mr. Hayden, you are a weeping baby like your fellow Australians who are themselves racists and cheats. Your so called challenge now is a 'looser's challenge' and we disregard it.

overconfidence ,as usual
by sid red on Jan 22, 2008 08:43 PM  Permalink

Dont forget the two easy losses to South Africans by this same Indian team after that phyrric victory which was supposed to rejuveniate the team. So let us earnestly hope that the Indian team comes back to mother earth and prepare to fight the wounded champs. Its gonna be tough mind yu and victory would be lets hope not a mirage.
