well we all knw how the aussies try the mind game of weakening the opponents mentally before start of tours/match... all they want to create is a element of fear in the opponents and this is not a new thing .. instances of glenn mcgrath declaring his bunny... clarke declaring the outcome of series have been the major weapons in the past.. INDIA on the other hand has nt bowed to such pressure and have kept their cool and shown aussies the way to play cricket in the "true spirit of the game"..... lesson nt learnt by mr hayden i guesss.... if they had the talent to do so they wud nt go into such mind games and perform on the field ... nt saying tat they are nt gud ... but yes they are over confident tat none can beat them ... weighing the talent i think india has got twice as much as them and the players are nt hyped so much by the team mates as the aussies hype their team mates (tait for eg)... hope u get the point here .... Can Sourav play like Punter or Hayden? Not aginst bermuda kenya holland namibia and so whtz souravs average against aussies in tests and odis?? simply see the sts and get last..u better stop trains and flights..do not come on to rediff.

punter has an average of 58 over all ur fav. sourav has 43 even against india punter has better average against india than wht ur sourav has against australia punter has 46 average vs india in tests ur worst sourav has 32 vs australia of copurse sourav is worst trest player all in all he has only 1 hundred against the aussies and 0 against south africa in tests..wht a shameeon part of him yaar..and he is regarded as better player in india after you tendulkar
After watching the Sydney test match, I feel some rules have to be incorporated by ICC to give the other teams a perfect clarification
(1) Ricky Ponting %u2013 (THE TRULY GENUINE CRICKETER OF THE CRICKET ERA AND WHOSE INTEGRITY SHOULD NOT BE DOUBTED) should be considered as the FOURTH UMPIRE. As per the new rules, FOURTH UMPIRE decision is final and will over ride any decisions taken by any other umpires. ON-FIELD umpires can seek the assistance of RICKY PONTING even if he is not on the field. This rule is to be made, so that every team should understand the importance of the FOURTH UMPIRE.
(2) While AUSTRALIAN TEAM is bowling, If the ball flies anywhere close to the AUSTRALIAN FIELDER(WITHIN 5 metre distance), the batsman is to be considered OUT irrelevant of whether the catch was taken cleanly or grassed. Any decision for further clarification should be seeked from the FOURTH UMPIRE. This is made to ensure that the cricket is played with SPORTIVE SPIRIT by all the teams.
(3) While BATTING, AUSTRALIAN players will wait for the ON-FIELD UMPIRE decisions only (even if the catch goes to the FIFTH SLIP as the ball might not have touched the bat). Each AUSTRALIAN batsman has to be out FOUR TIMES (minimum) before he can return to the pavilion. In case of THE CRICKETER WITH INTEGRITY, this can be higher.
(4) UMPIRES should consider a huge bonus if an AUSTRALIAN player scores a century. Any wrong decisions can be ignored as they will be paid huge bonu

I am not fan of Ganguly, but we should not refuse is committment to our Indian team and just check the last year batting and compare the same with other players.
Mathew hayden is the best opening batsman of this era... All Bengalis are very thrilling to see Sourav get a hundred at Adeliade.. but he will score two golden ducks in Adeliade.. May be Laxman will play but india will not win ..unless Hayden misses the match by injury..

"We have a very good bowling line-up going into these conditions. We saw that in Sydney"... Cant believe my eyes when i read this line! This meat ball of a guy called Hayden must be mad to believe that Aussies won the sydney match! They were tottering at 136-6, and if not for the 12th Aussie in the field (read-Steve Bucknor), they would have been humiliated there as well...
