1. India should start treating Pathan as a batsman who can bowl. He has consistently proved that he is a better batsman. He should replace Yuvraj, who has been totally out of sorts. We can allow Yuvraj to continue with these failures, as we depend upon him in one dayers. We cannot let the confidence of Yuvraj fade away because of the failures in the test matches. Irfan can take third seamer position and Harbhajan should be rested, because Perth pitch doesn't offer any assistance to Spinners. Kumble can become a medium pacer overnight, as we have seen against Pakistan, but not Harbhajan. Also Harbhajan may be distracted after all the recent controversies. He needs time off. But we need to support Harbhajan in the battle of anti-racism claims.
2. Sehwag will replace Harbhajan. Of course they have different skillsets. Sehwag will open and help Dravid come at one down. Sehwag can also be a good bowler and can become handy on 5th days play, if the pitch offers any assistance to spinners. He can never be compared to Harbhajan's greatness.
3. Jaffer should be rested. Jaffer has become Lee's bunny. Karthick should replace him. Karthick is good on the foreign pitches as we have seen him against South Africa, Englans and West Indies. So performance in India should not be counted. Karthick fights in the field as well. It will help other Indian filedsmen as well, when Australia plays the mind games against the Indians. Sehwag is good... Indian selectors need to urgently give chance in middle order to Rohit/Raina/etc. How many chances and advise were given to Karthik. We have given chance to VRV, Pankah Singh. Many chances to Yuvi. Now there is NEED for rotation in the middle. Hope Sehwag breaks the lockjam for the opener position and then we can solidify the middle order. Do the seniors resist a competition in middle order and that is why no new blood is tried in the middle. Do Seniors want to drop dead while playing and give allow no other.
i think as a captain kumble dont know 100% how to react for the such conditions...make sourav as a captain for remaining two tests...see the differences in australian's attitude...he is the perfect captain to slam,to react for this cheating australians..
