1. We should not base the discussion on Harbhajan issue. This will be sorted out in due course as the Refree has been totally partial. ICC's entry guidelines for appointing Refrees do not have any legal or judicial bent of mind. It is more by Ivy league contacts. 2. The main issue is the totally unaccetable unsportmanship cheating behaviour of the Aussie players led by the Captain. 3. BCCI should rather focus on (i) getting the 2nd test cancelled by ICC on account of bad decisions impacting the final result (ii) seeking a ban on Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke for bringing the game to disrepute (Rashid Latif stye) and (iii) ensuring that matches whereever they are played should conform to International culture and NOT Australian boorish culture.
all this talk of Bucknor is totally correct. BUt lets not forget about the travesty committed by the other umpire - Benson. How can he ask an opposing captain for his opinion for a decision?? The captains could have had any pre-match agreement, but the umpires can not be bound by this - this is match fixing actually! I mean if the captains agree that one team will win the next match, should the umpires have to agree and tag along?? Both Ponting and Benson need to be also banned. Actually, Symonds should also be stripped off his man of the match award for blatantly admitting that he knew he was out, but didnot walk "because heck, the umpire could get it wrong"!!! I mean holy crap! if that is not in the spirit of game, then i dont know what is!!
If Rashid Latif of Pakistan can be suspended for 5 tests for behaviour unbecoming of a captain, what should be the treatment for Ponting the cheat?? Mike Procter needs to answer this one, especially as he was the same match referee who banned Latif.
Or, as Gavaskar says, the rules change with the colour of the skin...?

The worst part is Ponting and his cronies continue to behave as if nothing wrong has been done, and keep coming up with some of the most laughable arguments to justify their dishonesty on the field. When you not only refuse to admit you fault, but go to ridiculous lengths to defend it- that's Orwellian!
Some Oz vermins that had infiltrated into this forum last night/ early this morning were doing the same.

Get lost I say. Australians are scared of India. They cannot see that they will be overpowered by India in near future. I know Indian will be facing tough time at Perth but we are not scared of playing any body, but play it fair. We dont know to cheat and win, We only win by cricket and nothing but, Yes we do realise we lose some games very badly but whenever issue of naitonal pride comes inwe have never shied away giving our better than the best. Remember the steve waugh team tour in 2001 and the way we play pakistan. This only shows that we are Indians. By nature we are emotional and we paly the game by instint, agreed we dont maintian thaa t level of intesity in all the matches But when ever any body tries to outrage our national pride we ahave made them to bit the dust... Be Proud be Indian.... Criticise our defeat but demoralise our players. After they are all Our Indians. Do we criticise the same if any of your brother or sister fails in exam........
(5) All AUSTRALIAN players are eligible to keep commenting about all players on the field and the OPPONENT TEAM should never comment as they will be spoiling the spirit of the AUSTRALIAN team. Any comments made in any other language are to be considered as RACIALISM only.
(6) MATCH REFREE decisions will be taken purely on the AUSTRALIAN TEAM advices only. Player views from the other teams decisions will not be considered for hearing. MATCH REFREES are to be given huge bonus if this rule is implemented.
(7) NO VISITING TEAM should plan to win in AUSTRALIA. This is to ensure that the sportive spirit of CRICKET is maintained.
(8) THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE : If any bowler gets RICKY PONTING - "THE UNDISPUTED CRICKETER WITH INTEGTIRY IN THE GAME OF CRICKET" more than twice in a series, he will be banned for the REST OF THE SERIES. This is to ensure that the best batsman/Captain will be played to break records and create history in the game of CRICKET.
These rules will clarify better to the all the teams VISITING AUSTRALIA .
