I think that is a wonderful rejoinder, Mr. Panicker. Australia have very clearly indicated that their only target is to win - and win at any cost, even at the cost of bringing the game to utter shame. In the process, they had the tacit (nay, explicit) support of two fellows who are supposed to be the arbiters. And when they are in doubt, whose support do these jokers take? Ricky Ponting, himself a bad ambassador of rigging the game to suit his needs; and Michael Clarke, a childish prankster whose sole aim is to end up being on the winning side. By resorting to their support, the umpires have done nothing short of asking a bunch of thieves to take care of a treasure. Did Mr. Benson forget that he could have resorted to his fellow-umpire standing closer to the point-of-incident; or even better, the third umpire? On an earlier occasion, by adjudging Symonds not out when it was very clearly evident that his foot was still in the air when the bails were whipped off, the third umpire has also indicated his complicity in the entire stage-managed coup. It brings to one's mind the comment made by Chanderpaul sometime ago when he said 'if the 50-50 or even the 60-40 decisions are not necessarily Australia's way, it is not difficult to defeat Australia'. Ponting and his men have fully endorsed Chanderpaul's observation. In the process, the game has been brought to unimaginable levels of disrepute. Let India challenge the poor verdicts even at the cost of losing huge amounts of money.

Yeah, they always tried for "Win at Any Cost". In this match it is much more and as peter roebuck says "Australians behaved like wild dogs"

The Aussies have abused us by calling us 'racists'.They should be punished and banned.Ponting should be banned from cricket for life. Gayatri Gahlaut
The article is a fitting reply to the so called astronomical australian arrogance. They have brought only disrepute to the game and after the sydney test no self respecting cricketing nation should play them either in their home turf of anywhere, for that matter. As you put it,winning at any cost inclusive of cheating without batting an eyelid may make you a winner but you do not become credible and great in the eyes of the world.By the way,ICC which is a body of all cricketing nations does not deem it fit to declare sledging as illegal and that too when there is a tense mid ground battle. And calling one a monkey is a racial assault.Does it mean comparison with any animal has racial undertones? Perhaps the australian cricketers would take offence even if they are compared to the graceful and the past paced kangaroos. So much for their intellingence. It now appears that the ICC is heavily inclined to support the australians in whatever they indulge in and is high time that it,s central board is completely reconstituted. All the incorrigible manners and methods of the play have been invented by them.No other cricketing nation has behaved so badly and it they who should face a ban for atleast 2 years to teach them a lesson in what is cricketing diplomacy.

The list can go on mate, so dont open your mouth like ponting and symmonds when not warranted and make the old saying true " It is better to remain silent and be assumed as an idiot rather than open your mouth and remove all doubts about it!
Calling off the tour would present an immature picture of India. Umpiring mistakes have a method of addressing and India should not do anything silly. The world knows how stupid the umpires were !go on with the tour and give us something to cheer about !
You present the facts and figure in the right perspective as drashta...or eye witness. Keep writing in this fashion and the world will read and quote Prem's views.
It is shameful that BCCI is yet to decide on calling off the tour. We Indians whatever state we belong never indulge in racism. We may be divided but we respect others particulary foreigners. It is very clear the rougues in the guise of cricketers in Australlia conspired to create and image of racism against Indians. Pleae go thro the pages of history -it is only the whites who honobbed with apartheid regime of the then South africa. We cant ever imagine our players indulging in crook means. In India even today players like SOBBERS,RICHARDS,HALL,WORREL are reverred more thaneven Indian players because of their capability. In football Pele standsout. These whites cant digest all these hard facts. They cant imagine that a small Indian Tendulkar can become a cricketing Hero of all times to come. It is now do orr die. We should SHED OUR COLONIAL OUTLOOK. CALL OFF THE TOUR. RESPECT INDIAN SENTIMENT. PROTECT OUR PLAYERS. ORELSE THE ENTIRE TEAM SHOULD RESIGN
'Monkey' is generally used by Indians against children who are mischivous & spoilt. Ponting should have complained to the Indian Team Management instead of officially complaining to the umpires. My suggestion is, since Ponting has started this, he should apologize and take back his complaint and the matter ends there.
