This column drips with such bitterness and venom. And here I was believing that Indians were the only gentlemen left in the world...

Yes, truth is a bitter pill to swallow. No wonder you find the column dripping with bitterness.

And btw, being a gentleman does not mean giving up your right to counter the false and the wrong.

Indians are not the only gentlemen left in this world......... That calls for a big debate which I will not like to get into...

I am sure you will agree to one point that Australian Team under Ponting has downgraded Cricket as a whole and their country's reputation to the bottom. If you dont see the replays. You can try justifying it with all possible crap. But do you yourself believe them

I will not enjoy a win, if it is achieved in this fashion. I am not sure if you do.

Mr. Craddock will be happy with this
by SACHIN UPADHYAY on Jan 08, 2008 01:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

After watching the test match, I feel some rules have to be incorporated by ICC to give the other teams a perfect clarification

(1) Ricky Ponting %u2013 (THE TRULY GENUINE CRICKETER OF THE CRICKET ERA AND WHOSE INTEGRITY SHOULD NOT BE DOUBTED) should be considered as the FOURTH UMPIRE. As per the new rules, FOURTH UMPIRE decision is final and will over ride any decisions taken by any other umpires. ON-FIELD umpires can seek the assistance of RICKY PONTING even if he is not on the field. This rule is to be made, so that every team should understand the importance of the FOURTH UMPIRE.

(2) While AUSTRALIAN TEAM is bowling, If the ball flies anywhere close to the AUSTRALIAN FIELDER(WITHIN 5 metre distance), the batsman is to be considered OUT irrelevant of whether the catch was taken cleanly or grassed. Any decision for further clarification should be seeked from the FOURTH UMPIRE. This is made to ensure that the cricket is played with SPORTIVE SPIRIT by all the teams.

(3) While BATTING, AUSTRALIAN players will wait for the ON-FIELD UMPIRE decisions only (even if the catch goes to the FIFTH SLIP as the ball might not have touched the bat). Each AUSTRALIAN batsman has to be out FOUR TIMES (minimum) before he can return to the pavilion. In case of THE CRICKETER WITH INTEGRITY, this can be higher.

(4) UMPIRES should consider a huge bonus if an AUSTRALIAN player scores a century. Any wrong decisions can be ignored as they will be paid huge bonus a

by ashesh rathor on Jan 08, 2008 01:55 PM  Permalink

Ponting and clarke should be banned just like latif for claiming a catch on the bounce.
BCCI is playing politics.

Robert Craddock
by Ajay Patodia on Jan 08, 2008 01:48 PM  Permalink

Pls ask Mr Robert Craddock that will he be writing the same thing had the same thing happened to English Team and one of their player was put on the dock for no offence made by him on the field. More over he should have not written those lines at all. I think he has lost his creditability. What if India dominates the ICC abd certainly we deserve to be there not only with money power but through our honesty, good and sporting play and Administrative quality. Why forget Mr Dalmiya and sure he would remember the achievements made in his tenure as ICC Chairman. Wake up Mr Craddock.

We have had enough of playing nice boys to these indecent aussies who call themselves as sportspersons. Its time the INDIAN players stand up and let it be known to the aussies that aren't taking this shit lying down. Either play the game in the right spirit or stop calling yourselves world champs coz u ppl are just a lot of cheaters
