Long term solution
by Abhay T on Jan 08, 2008 11:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Honestly speaking all solutions are short term. Do you remember what happened in the past? ICC did not recognise the match when Indian team played their banned players. PCB is far wiser than this. Hair is nowhere near cricket grounds now. BCCI as usual will compromise in the end. Belive it or not! ICC's anti-racial policy is against asian players. because ICC is run by racist non-asian people who have nothing to do with cricket.

The real long term solution is to either take control of ICC or run a parallel ICC controlled by BCCI. The players will switch where money flows! IPL is a good start. But BCCI can extend this to all forms of cricket and start their affiliated boards in other countries. It is perfectly possible to break ICC's monopoly. I think that is the only long term solution to this issue.

its about justice not world domination

the gentleman writes indian board is 50 times richer and 60-70% corporate sponsorship in international cricket comes from india. the message is very patriotic but how come he/she or people who write opinions here forget that that cricket series and cricket tournaments run on sponsorship. who is the most to lose if this tour is cancelled? has even one corporate brand of the 60-70% mentioned and indian as mentioned come in support of the indian team. are they patriotic enough to cancel this tour and bear a loss of money to preserve indian integrity. if they dont then every column here and every message here is a waste of time and money coz every cricketer is contracted to honour his sponsors and thats how tours and tournaments work.

You are so right,,,,Being patriotic is one thing but to be an Idiot well come to Rediff board you will find them plenty. I just don't understand how people think and act. And why do we get so riled up about a cricket incident? Honestly Symond and Harbhajan are two idiots on two sides. You can't trust both of them. Yes Australia stole the match with the help of Benson and Bucknor,,,move on,,,it's not a question of life and death. Go play cricket and take your personal grudges in a boxing ring and slug it out.

But India could not......
by gaurav singh on Jan 08, 2008 11:53 PM  Permalink

play out even 2 sessions. Agreed that a whole lot wrong was done, but this is also a fact that we crumbled yet again anc barring Dravid, Kumble and to some extent Dhoni, no one showed a semblence of application. I feel very very sorry for Kumble. The man was playing his heart out in the match. He did not deserve to wear the loser's tag. Come on guys, we are the best batting side on paper for the last 15 yrs, but very seldom do we prove that.
In Perth, I am sure we will be decimated. I hope not and surely wish that Dravid, Laxman, Tendulkar and Ganguly continue the good work and show the Australians what grit is all about. Yuvi should be thrown out of the team, Sehwag and Katik should open. What say?

Having learnt a few words of English seems to make you feel like a wise crack! If this is not the time to stand for your country when will you stand because it seems you are so lazy that you will end up in a wheel chair soon enough..
Stand up for your country before its too late or take the fart of Australians!
