australia played with 13 players!!!
by shaheen khan on Jan 06, 2008 05:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Looking at the summary of the first and second test matches, I conclude that Australia played (or rather conspired and cheated) with not eleven but thirteen players if you include the two on-field so-called umpires. It has become clear that Australians are bad losers, cheats and play dirty mind games. The numerous bad decisions by umpires, the Bhajji-Symmonds episode, and instances of cheating by Ponting (claiming a grounded catch, not walking off the field even after nudging a nick to the wicket-keeper etc.) proves that the Australian cricket team is a cheat and undoubtedly fixed the matches with the umpires. They must have bribed the umpires to get umpiring decisions in their favour.

I have never ever seen such bad umpiring in last 30 years. I like to point out that Steve Bucknor is anti-India. He has been for the past few years consistently giving bad decisions against India in ODIs and test matches just like his colleague Darrel Hair does for Sri Lanka.

In my opinion this test match be nullified and either be abandoned or replayed. Both of the umpires be stripped of their designation and banned for life. We can certainly do without them.

The conduct of Ricky Pointing (appealing despite knowing that he is wrong in doing so, showing Ganguly the finger suggesting that he is out (he had no right to do so)) and of Symmonds (falsely accusing Bhajji of racial remarks) should be thoroughly investigated and be banned for atleast 20 ODIs and 10 test matches.

One small correction, it is a 14 member official Aussie team.

well the third umpire cannot be included because he comes into the picture only when he is consulted by the two on-field umpires. this never happened in this test match when bad decisions were given. the two umpires did not consider it necessary to consult the third umpire. he was reduced to a mere spectator.

however, a thought comes to my mind that may be the third umpire was informed prior to the test match of the intentions of the two umpires by the aussies themselves. in that case its a 14 member team!!! but that again i repeat, could be a possibility. cannot cofirm though.

this is in reference to the message posted here by p k on Jan 06, 2008 05:48 PM in reply to my posting which was as follows

"kaha see copy maara hai??? start using ur own head..headless dumb".

it has been reported for abuse by somebody. however i would like to inform my fried shri p.k. that sir, i have not copied it from anywhere. these are my own words, views and original posting. i request you to not to insult people like this without giving it a second thought. we are not here to demean fellow rediffmail users but to condemn australia's and the umpires' conduct in the 2nd test match. i hope you will refrain from posting personal demeaning comments in the future. thank you & regards, shaheen.

'Mistakes' cannot be so one-sided !!
by sibby mathews on Jan 06, 2008 05:35 PM  Permalink

There were at least 7 blatantly wrong decisions against India whereas there was only one such against Australia (and even this - Ponting given out - had come after one wrong decision in his favour).

Can the wrong decisions still be called 'mistakes' ??

The ideal response to the general merriment in Australia now would be for the BCCI to officially make a very strong statement against the umpiring - merely making a formal complaint is hardly that - and let it be known to the Australian public and media that what will be remembered of this test would be it's decisively biased umpiring and not Australia's record equalling victory !!

Ponting's credibility & Integrity to be questioned
by Deepak Kumar Atre on Jan 06, 2008 05:35 PM  Permalink

Aussies are real cheaters!when they were out they have not walked out, instead when Indian Batsman are clearely not out, by otrageous appleals they are given out.
to top it Ponting has become upmire also, giving DADA out, when replays clearely showed the catch was not completed!, and he was the lone person to appeal for dhoni's catch, which was also not genuine one!
that's why no wonder none of the fans, other than Austrailian supporters, like any of the aussis, because they donthave any sportman ship, thay want to win by hook or crook, that's all.
that's why you have fans all over the world for Sachin,Lara,Imran but not for any of these Aussies!
