Indian Cricket
by Krish B on Jan 06, 2008 08:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why not ask the our team to return to India? This is better thna making them play well get punished at the hands of umpires. The entire cricketing world now knows how the Australians won this match. By the way is this match fixing of a diffrent kind? Ha ha!

that is a good idea. Enough is enough. The hell with world cricket. Just enjoy Asian three nation cricket. This is mind boggling. India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan do not get any respect from these wester umpires. There should be at least one sub continent umpire or in the panel of third umpire.

Australia very badly wanted to win this match to keep their winning streak alive.
If they had not, then they had to start it from the scratach all over again. They were aware of it and they did whatever it took for them to win this match. It did not matter if it is within the spirit of the game.

the best way to insult aussies
by sameer sultan on Jan 06, 2008 08:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

bcci wont boycott the series as then they will have to pay huge fine so in that case the best way to show our protest is that in 3rd test india should purposely get all out for zero and then the bowlers should bowl standing at the crease without running and let the aussies score 1000-2000 runs for no loss. This will show the entire world that ausssies are big cheats by birth which they have proved in sydney test.

yes. This is a Gandhi way of protest. I did not think about it. Thanks. Take out all the sponsorship out, they can use domestic cricket and we should support whole heartily.

I agree with you, sameer. The best way to insult the umpires, ICC and the Australian cricketers is to play as you said. Then the appeal of the test cricket in Australia will be lost and the sponsors and the authorities will come to their senses.

Action
by Usman Zaheer on Jan 06, 2008 07:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Australian bullying was shown in this test match. No wonder they won so many games. The way they appeal and the reaction they show if they are not given the wicket is dramatic. Ponting cannot play Harbhajan so he wants him to be banned. The last day of this test match was the worst spirit of cricket I have seen. It was one team playing cricket in the spirit of the game(India) and the other applying bullying tacticts. I think if Bucknor or Benson are allowed to offciate in the next match, we should boycott the game. ICC cannot ban India because money comes from subcontinent.

Neutral Umpires
by Vishvapriyo Ray on Jan 06, 2008 06:43 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What is the point in having neutral umpires officiate test matches? Simon Taufel is one of the best umpires in the ICC elite panel. Why not have him officiate in such a high profile series such as this!!!

India won despite loss!
by ! on Jan 06, 2008 06:37 PM  Permalink

It seems Aussies will never learn perspective of playing cricket in the way it was intended. Aussies, the so-called world champions, are bad losers and at any cost want to win the matches. This fact was displayed on-field in the second test match against India (Jan 2-6, 2007). Ponting seemed to have caught Dhoni but the ball had hit the ground in the attempt. However, Ponting had no hesitation in claiming for a catch. Michael Clarke claimed to have caught Sourav Ganguly when the ball had hit the ground. As Ganguly stood at the wicket, Ponting took over the duties of the umpire, raised his finger and told him that he was out. Sadly umpire Mark Benson agreed. To say both ICC %u2018Elite%u2019 umpires had bad day is simply not good enough; because they both had five disgraceful days each. Too many dollars appear to be dazzling them. It was really mind upsetting to find that Australians always escape the sight of umpires/officials/ICC, or is it that ICC and umpires always support Australia?

As for racial abuse, give me a break, the comments that have come through on the stump mikes from the mouths of some of the Aussies over the years has been disgusting. They are notorious for sledging, an art they have perfected but they have no stomach when the rival teams give it back to them. It appears they can dish it out but can't take it, what a pack of squealers.

Although, clearly cricket is the %u2018loser%u2019 having arrogant Aussies as champions, we can take heart from the spor

forget about BCCI:

EVERYONE WRITE A SHORT EMAIL TO:

enquiry@icc-cricket.com

I have sent them a long email. Take out your frustration on them. That is the best way. That is what viewers of Big Brother did when Shilpa Shetty was abused in UK. People wrote to the main production company and they took some type of action. GO ON PLEASE WRITE JUST A SMALL EMAIL TO ICC TO SAY WHY YOU HATE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS AND UMPIRES. AND WHY YOU THINK BCCI ARE NEVER GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT ALL OF THIS... COME ON YOU WASTED 5 DAYS WATCHING THE GAME, 2 MORE MINUTES WON'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.
