No point playing with Cheats
by Kannan on Jan 06, 2008 01:43 PM  Permalink

Aussies are cheats who want to win at any cost. Gilchrist cheated, Ponting cheated, Michael Clarke cheated, the two umpires (who were actually part of the Australian team) cheated.

PONTING AND HIS MEN(11 3 umpires) win 2nd test
by Raj on Jan 06, 2008 01:43 PM  Permalink

This is one of the worst umpiring i have seen in my life. I have been following cricket for 20 yrs now. This australian team is one of the biggest cheaters and biggest whiners. The game has been with the umpires thats y players like hayden make predictions so accurately...Its a waste of playing a series in autralia..

by the way the commentry team was the most biased i have even seen...taylor,healy,slater ,beanud...

Ricky pointing is cool man !!
by Sandeep saxena on Jan 06, 2008 01:42 PM  Permalink

Well he is in class of his own... can't make to steve waugh category. Did he bribe both the BB's to get the decisions in his favour. Ricky is putting Australian Cricket reputation on stake. World is watching and he and his teammate will surely go in history of cricketing for what they are doing.

What????
by Tim on Jan 06, 2008 01:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why are we talking about this every time that we lose. The fact is that we cannot bad for 3 sessions confidently. Whatever said and done you should give it up to the Aussies. No one gave up their hopes. Even when there were just 2 overs left and with 3 wickets to go. They kept fighting and won.

We are sore losers and we have proven one more time and will look pathetic if we went now and cry against decisions.

Start playing and stop complaining.

that is other side of the story. What was Yuvraj doing in Australian series... Why has Dhoni been using PADS continously. Man our guys go out of the country for FUN. Dhoni confirms that. In every Industry and in every work you have Targets... Why is BCCI not given them targets for achievements.

we get anxious when we have them below 400runs and then we go down below 200runs. It has not happens first time and not the last time. Team need IIM manager's to tell them what they need to do. Probably our guys have talent but everyone goes out to looking at the target and says wow i have to make 400runs the matter of fact is that they need to make there own reasonable scores individually. BOSS give them targets give them target to achieve or they will continue to make mockery of BCCI

EAsy to say. When Dravid and Ganguly were batting there could have easily saved the game, but the umpires thought otherwise. I bet that even your favorite team would not have survived 2 sessions if the umpires had given their batsmen out on last day. You dont remember what happened in Mumbai 2 years ago, how they were bowled out for 93 and Ponting went to town complaining about the pitch. Australia may be better team than India but they are not as great as they are made out to be. Now we know why they win so many games at home. On day 1 if Symonds was given out then the whole story would have been different.

If a player shows dissent, he is fined. But if he is dishonest, he gets the man of the match award. If you call that playing, well write the words SPORTMAN SPIRIT on a piece of paper, roll it up, and do whatever you want to do with it.

DISGRACEFUL VICTORY THAT ANY SELF RESPECTING COUNTRY CAN DO WITHOUT...
by vijairaghavan PG on Jan 06, 2008 01:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

May be a victory is a victory in the record books, but it can never smell as sweet when it is achieved with the help of deceit, low cunning and help from... of all people, the umpires! Then why play on the 22 yards atall, why not just give it to the Aussies at the time of the toss? Watching the 2nd test gave one the unmistakable feeling that the umpires had a lot to do with the victory, and the Aussies' infamous unsporting behaviour - contrived appeals, contrived complaints against the Indians, the cheap targeting of specific players and who knows, buying out of the umpires if the string of ugly decisions from the ugly men in black at Sydney is any indication! Bucknor and Benson may have their bias against India, but fortunately for the millions of tv viewers across the world, it is India that has consistently had the upper hand, even though Bunty and Babli...oops, Bucky and Benny had their middle finger up against India all the time. Ponting may have won the match, but it is the Indians who have won the hearts of the billions of cricket fans for the way they have had the so called champs against the wall for most of the time. Well done, Jumbo, you gave it to them at the MCG and SCG, no matter if you lost, give to back to the scourges of the game in Perth and Canberra, no matter if the white coats and blackjacks are not with you! As Harsha said, theres no 50 percent honesty in the game, either you are honest or dishonest, and we know which sid your team is and the Aussies

...Playing against the 11 Australians is no joke, imagine playing against these plus two and you know how the cards are stacked! In the final analysis, it is no doubt a pyrrhic victory, that the Australians could do without. I personally see a moral victory in the Indian defeat, I'd much rather prefer this defeat to the disgrace of winning by deceit and cunning. I am sure all right thinking sports lovers will agree.

Umpires must be punished. Ponting should be reported to match referee
by Gorango Thakurta on Jan 06, 2008 01:41 PM  Permalink

The Indian team fought valiantly in both batting and bowling, but were done in by malicious umpiring.

Read what the BBC (considered neutral) writes:

"Steve Bucknor was involved in another moment of high controversy.

Having been roundly castigated for failing to give Andrew Symonds caught behind on day one - the batsman went on to hit 162 not out - he awarded the Australian the most tenuous appeal for a catch at the wicket which ended Dravid's innings.
An extraordinary incident seven overs later deepened India's plight, and again there was controversy as Clarke dived forward to claim a catch to end Ganguly's innings on 51. The umpires, apparently unsighted, accepted Clarke and Ponting's word that the catch was a good one - Ponting even raising his own finger as though giving the batsman out."

This is not a joke. BCCI should follow up and make sure these umpires and Ponting are punished.

declare the second test null and void

considering the horrendous umpiring decisions the second test should be eliminated from cricketing records.BCCI ought to do something concrete instead of only flexing its muscles against poor players and selectors
