BCCI a baffon
by Vinod Kumar on Jan 06, 2008 02:01 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

BCCI is just complaining just to show that they take care of interest of Indian fans & players. They look only for revenue. They are under control of AUS cricket board...

Short memories

Sure the "independent Umpires" may be human and made an error or two......but what about the decades during which no Team could win a series anywhere on the sub-continent when "home umpires" were used?

Is it no wonder the world's best batsman, Sir Donald Bradman never toured the sub-continent?

All of a sudden, as happens in life, a few things go against you - and what's the response? - charge of to the ICC and make an official complaint.

If touring sides had done that over the period of "home umpires" officiating, there'd be no forests left in the world & the ICC would still be going through the paperwork!!

Don't be sore losers......simply because you can't "rig" the game at home any more....it's in the record book now - get over it.

Mr. Bhagwat, It is STUPID IDIOTS like you who are responsible for low self esteem in Indians. Do you think all the while Australian umpires were fair? How much cricket have you watched? Its important not to take anything away from good performances but there has to be a fair game to determine competency and capability. If you judge a team's performance in a game where there was no trace of fairness you will end up commiting blunders like those commited by the two umpires in this match. THINK RATIONAL....or may be I should say THINK first.

Yeah. Its actually stupid that 3 Indian batsmen got out in 1 over and thats too to spin bowling of Michael Clarke. Magnificient performance by Clarke. I think at Sydney Pathan would have been a much better choice than Ishant Sharma. Yuvraj and Jaffer proved to be liabilities on this tour. One of them ( I think Yuvraj) needs to make way for Sehwag and Jaffer for Pathan in Perth. India will be much better without them

Once again - Sachin Tendulkar. Cant handle the pressure. Couldent stick for 20-30 balls more?

You need to see areplay of the tendulkar dismissal, which was purely unlucky. Or maybe you have decided to kneel to racist abuse like some of our friends here.

India should quit the tour
by shakti katyal on Jan 06, 2008 01:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India should quit the tour or atleast show their dissatisfaction with the kind of umpiring and specially the sportsman spirit shown by the australians.

BCCI can well afford to pay compensation TO the poorer ACB (ON BOTH COUNTS OF MONEY AND ETHICS) ACB by calling the tour off .
GARV NAHIN TO KUCH BHI NAHIN
WELL LED KUMBLE -ON THE FIELD AND BEFORE THE AUSSIE MEDIA .

WE ARE PROUD OF THE TEAM.

use technologies
by kanna thasan on Jan 06, 2008 01:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In critical situations umpires should never hesitate to use technologies. India lost/failed to draw the match, because of poor umpiring. From the beginning of the 2nd test, the umpires were fully on Oz's side. Buckner and Benson made doom days for India

Australians Sucks
by deepak jim on Jan 06, 2008 01:57 PM  Permalink

I think its time we need to abrogate all these idiotic cricket rules. Why we have to bear all these in the name of " Gentleman Game". Our country is the lifeblood of cricket . Just Imagine if Indians are not watching the game . There wont be any cricket . Then also see the treatment meted at us. BCCI should do something on the match . Bloody Australians There is nothing glorious in this . Never leave those three men army who defeated India scot free.

Wel done India
by Niharika Sharma on Jan 06, 2008 01:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Next time, Australia comes to India to play cricket, we should all wear tee shirt with caption "Welcome the team of cheaters". We should shout shame, shame, shame and cheaters, cheeeteers, cheee...teeerrrss in all the ground. We can also put banners in front of each cricket loving patriotic Inidian supporter's houses "Shame Australia, Shame..you are the cheaters...of cricket field".

BCCI under Mr.Powar is spineless, all they will do is just some protest and everyone will forget soon. We need action similar to what Mike Dennis incident saw or what Pakistan did against England. These cheaters need strong reaction, otherwise this will never stop. Umpaires are just part of the game, they shouldnt be the scapegoat, Australian cricket establish meant and their cricket tea are real criminals.

To my team: Wel done India. We are proud of you and the way you have played. We know in our heart, that in a fair game senario, India would have won this test with absolute certainity. We are with you, India. Dont lose your morale.

Steve Bucknor WINS the match...!!!!
by Viji Damodaran on Jan 06, 2008 01:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The headlines should read....

STEVE BUCKNOR WINS MATCH FOR AUSTRALIA !!

This is pathetic.... And to see Ricky Ponting exulting like it was a hard won match shows the shallowness of this shrewd cheater...!!

Yes, Ricky Ponting has lost his claim to the Cricketer of the Year by behaving in this pathetically shameful way..!!!

It is amazing how the Australian team went to play with 13 players instead of 11....!!!

That is.... 11 cricketers 2 umpires...!!!!

ICC should negate the result of this match since it is clear that the result would have been drastically different had the decisions been correctly given..!!!

I mean human error occurs once or twice in a match...
But 7 times..!!!!!!
And that too against a particular team..!!!
That is not human error.... It is called CHEATING / BEING SOLD OUT..!!!!

Bucknor should be asked to pack his bags and retire before he gets shamefully disgraced...!!

you mean 14. You forgot the 3rd umpire who was probably paid by the betting and gambling organizations. How can it go so many times against India and not even once against Australia. I see a massive umpiring betting scandal

You even forgot Ricky as the 4th umpire while giving ganguly out. Plus, if Match Referee goes against Bhajji today and/or does not do anything on these gross umpiring mistakes, it will be 11 3 1 1 = 16 people.

Bad umpiring
by ramprasad mantravadi on Jan 06, 2008 01:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

No exaggeration to say that India lost the match due to bad umpiring.

Dravid and Ganguly both are given out when they are clearly not out which opened the gates to late middle order and tail enders.

The whole Australian media, commentators, umpires everyone is biased.

1) Marc Benson does not bother to refer Ganguly's dismissal to 3rd umpire but when Dhoni was clearly in and neither the wicket nor the fielders bothered to appeal, he immediately refers to 3rd umpire.
2) RP Singh's LBW would have removed the bails according to the TV replays. Again Benson was so confident that he raised his finger in the first 2 seconds. He sure has got some sight for someone who could not see Ganguly's catch was a carry.

Finally, I think Steve Bucknor is trying do Symonds a favor when he committed another mistake by ruling Dravid out.

Steve Bucknor likes Symonds because he was the only one who thanked him for the wrong decision. Mike Hussey and the other have not even bothered to say so :-D
