Australia are happy because the one team which could have beaten them have lost in a 13 vs 11 player match. As a fan I am really happy to compare the characters of Ponting and Kumble in this match and it is clear that Kumble has won, because test match is all about character.Right?

Please make it 14 vs 11 (11 players, Bucknor, Benson & the third umpire who had all the evidence at his disposal, but turned down the appeal for Symonds' stumping, which was clearly out).

Certainly kumble shown strong character...We should boycott remaining series due to conspiracy to defeat us be it umpiring or symonds mental tactics to get our moral down. Why we are bearing all this?
ok it is agreed that umpiring was not in favour of india but after that why dont u look at urself ....we were having the 3 wickets in hand and it was just a matter of 2 overs....we were not able to save those wickets....now dont say that top order has not batted well...and we cant expect it from tha tail enders....sorry guys we are execpecting 2 overs play from the international players to just save the match not to win...wen top order play you win dat is the normal thing.....but its when they dont play ur tail enders come into the show....so first correct ourself......if you want to become no. 1 team of the world......umiring is the second thing.....thanx

If Dravid and Ganguly were not given out wrongly, why do you think we would have had the situation where we had 3 wickets left with 2 overs to go? And just to remind you 2 of them were just playing their 9th and 2nd test match. You would not know the kind of things people do under pressure unless you have been through it yourself.

Rakesh I agree with u that having 3 wickets in hand and 2 overs to save the match we should have done it. But the fact that all the wrong decissions made by umpires went against India is questionable.After seeing Bucknor as umpire I was literally surprised to see Sachin making 154 Not out, because for almost last 5 years Sachin is getting out by Bucknor.I knew we r going to loose this match on the 1st day when i saw bucknor as Umpire.The result is going to be same for next macth as well because "Bucknor" is umpiring the next match as well.Now India is against a team of 13 players including UMPIRES.

Umpiring can not be second thing my dear. Last three wicket was tail enders and even best team in world can collapse at tails. My dear its conspiracy to defeat us which we should protest else one is always agree that our team is weak even we have world class players. But it is different matter right now on cards brother.

Yes india have lost..we should have played better....But in a game what matters is how it is played..no matter who wins..the other loses..but as fans we love to watch good cricket..not the one that just ended....It is truely dissappointing.
Dont know how much u talk and say but it cannot let off the attention that India is a looser, one or two decisions always goes wrong in every test match but shame on Indian team who lost six wickets to part time bowler. Powar is a politician, he knows what to say after losing an election..Its the time for every indian to salute Australia for their emphatic win!

Its easy to criticise that our players are good for nothing. they have played there heart out.No one plays to loose not even Bangladesh.We dont mind Australia winning but Steve Waugh was also successful but very rarely u c him play faulse tactics.I think Ponting is so obsessed of winning that he can go to ne limits. He believes in everything is fair in a GAME. Well done Ricky.....although u might win another 50 matches but u will never be among the top 100 best captain around the world.

I have always maintained that Steve Bucknor is a rascal! Steve Bucknor is one of the most useless Umpires, responsible for innumerable wrong/bad/incorrect decisions, ruining the very spirit of Cricket.I wonder why Steve Bucknor has not been sacked long back, for incompetence. The reason is not far to seek. In these days of reservations, probably even in the ICC there must be some provision that for so many Whites or Browns, there should be so many Blacks; and, Merit/ Competence can be overlooked; as long as the ICC is not accused of Racism. Or else, the West Indies Cricket Board must be so powerful that the ICC dare not annoy them by dropping Steve Buknor from their panel.What ever it is, Cricket is the poorer with people like Steve Buknor around. colonelrajan@rediffmail.com
